Dropbox Client for Alfred - Access multiple Dropbox accounts with Alfred

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

This workflow lets you quickly access multiple Dropbox accounts independently from standard the Dropbox client.

This could be useful, if you have more than one Dropbox account or if you use Selective Sync a lot.

When I started writing it, Dropbox didn't support linking a personal with a business account.

That's why I needed a second client to quickly access my other account.

Anyway, multi-account support still seems to make sense.

I've updated the workflow accordingly.

Note: if you upgrade, please delete "com.fniephaus.dropbox" from you keychain first!

Cheers,

Fabio

@mbac: when you start the workflow, it'll ask you to generate an access token. Hit enter and you'll be forwarded to Dropbox.com. Once you've generated a token, copy it and open the workflow again and enter the token to authorize the workflow. Then it should work just fine.

@Davide: I thought about it, but I personally have no use-case for this. That doesn't mean that I'm not going to add this feature soon though  ;)

I'll push an update with a few improvements soon! Stay tuned!

Thanks, but: when I run the ‘assetup’ command, what should I write in the Alfred box after assetup? And yes, I’m that clueless… Sigh…

I've never heard of 'assetup' and it's not one of this workflow's commands. Try this:

db auth <YOUR ACCESS TOKEN>

:)

Oooook… I’m almost there: I’m now able to browse and perform operations on files. I notice you mention an “API search”: does this mean I can search for files instead of browsing to them?

Thanks a lot for your help…

Nice workflow.

Recently, I've installed OsX El Capitan, and now,  I have this error  when I browse a dropbox (a problem with the accents in folder name) :

Do you know how I can fix that ?
