Alfred defaults to "open file" 40% of the time, very annoying.

Scenario:

problem opening alfred... it opens "open file" instead, with a ' there first.

How to simulate:

Shortcut key to open alfred is cmd+space.

Sometimes, about 60% of the time, it opens right:

The other 50% of the time, it opens the "Open file" action:

I am 100% sure that I am pressing cmd+space  every time. I can record a video of me pressing cmd+space 10 times and about 4 of those times the "open file" action is invoked. I am also 100% sure that I don't left my finger of the space bar. I just press cmd+space and it produces different results every time.

Desired behaviour:

cmd+space should open alfred, it should not open "open file".

I am using the latest version, the "Check for updates" show no possible updates available. 2.4 built 264.

Thank you

You are seeing the quick search mode, this is activated by pressing the space bar once Alfred is visible. This is a pretty intrinsic part of Alfred, and as it hasn't been reported by others, there may be something else causing the issue...

Are you using a non-Apple keyboard?

There may be some hotkey related software on your Mac which is interfering with OS X's default hotkey operation and causing an additional trigger of the spacebar. Could you try temporarily creating a new user account, running Alfred on that account and see if you experience the issue?

Cheers,

Andrew

Indeed I am... using a logitech keyboard. I plugged in the original keyboard and the issue doesn't happen. I would never have guessed, thanks for the creative idea.
