How to Use

Formats File

Firstly let's look at the formats file. Type everlistformats in Alfred. This will open the formats file which contains a list of file extensions that EverList will search for. It is pre-populated with a comprehensive list of video and audio file extensions. Feel free to edit this list as required

Configuration File

Type everlistconfig in Alfred to open the configuration file. You can enter your Evernote Production Developer Token here so that EverList can upload Notes to your Evernote Account.

(optionally) If you would like EverList to upload to your Evernote Sandbox Account instead you can enter your Evernote Sandbox Developer Token and change SANDBOX_MODE to true

This configuration file is auto-generated for you at the following location /Users/{user}/enml/config.ini

This is outside of the workflow directory so in the event that you ever export this workflow your API details will always remain safe

Run EverList!
Use the Finder to navigate to the directory that contains your Movies or TV Shows and type everlist {title} in Alfred, where {title} is the Title of the Note that EverList will create. EverList will search through the Finder directory and all its subdirectories that match the file extensions in the Formats file. Wait a few seconds and you should see a Mac OSX Notification and hear a beep sound after successfully uploading the generated Note to your Evernote account.

Your New Note
Go to your Evernote Desktop Client and press the Refresh button. You should see your new Note. If you click on the checkbox next to each video, in addition to marking the video, it will also open the video for watching. How awesome!

Additional Information
  • EverList has a known incompatibility with TotalFinder and any other application that replaces the Finder. You will need to quit these applications first
  • If the files are moved or renamed the links will be broken and the note will need to be regenerated
