  1. I think Alfred is meant to be more of a command-line interface: you enter a command, it does something, you're done. Complex GUIs are for long running interactions. I would be more inclined to write a completely separate application and then just call it with a standard Alfred search.

I managed to get pretty close by creating a workflow with keyword `pw` that runs this bash script: osascript -e 'open location "x-onepassword-helper://search/{query}"' You use it by typing something like "pw twitter". That opens the 1Password mini search and you can then press the right arrow key and hit enter to copy the password.
