Have you read the help page for Mojave? Particularly the bit about granting Alfred "Full Disk Access".

@delputnam Apologies for the delay - I had to have a chat with Andrew about this as it's an unusual issue. If you restored the second Mac from the first, including all of your Application Support folder, it's possible that the server UID for each Mac is the same, resulting in Alfred thinking both Macs are the same device. Here's how you can resolve this: Delete all devices from Alfred Remote Quit Alfred on both Macs Navigate in your user directory to ~/Library/Application Support/Alfred 3/ and delete the /Remote/ folder completely on both Macs Restart Alfred and re-connect your devices - each one should now be given its own server UID Let me know how you get on Cheers, Vero

Workflow to identify language in pdf

Well, that took much more than just a minute. Partly because your workflow was just kinda ugh, and partly because Objective-C is really bloody annoying on occasion, and the AppleScript needed to be re-written to cope with multiple file inputs, and because Automator can't do repeat loops by itself. Here's a screenshot of the Automator workflow, which now only has four actions: The modified AppleScript for use in the Run AppleScript action is below. Largely, the screenshot and script are for the benefit of anyone viewing this post at a later date, from which they can piece together the workflow themselves because I still haven't set up a base for storing permanent links to fileshares, so this one will be temporary: Append Language To Name of PDF File.workflow.zip use framework "Foundation" property this : a reference to current application property NSFileManager : a reference to NSFileManager of this property NSLinguisticTagger : a reference to NSLinguisticTagger of this property NSString : a reference to NSString of this property nil : a reference to missing value on run [fs, null] script fileURLs property list : fs end script set FileManager to NSFileManager's defaultManager() repeat with f in the list of fileURLs try set lang to "_" & ((NSLinguisticTagger's ¬ dominantLanguageForString:(NSString's ¬ stringWithContentsOfURL:f)) as text) set basename to (NSString's stringWithString:(f's ¬ POSIX path))'s stringByDeletingPathExtension() set oldname to (basename's ¬ stringByAppendingPathExtension:"pdf") set newname to ((basename's ¬ stringByAppendingString:lang)'s ¬ stringByAppendingPathExtension:"pdf") tell the FileManager to moveItemAtPath:oldname ¬ toPath:newname |error|:nil -- Rename PDF file tell the FileManager to trashItemAtURL:f ¬ resultingItemURL:nil |error|:nil -- Delete text file end try end repeat end run

Workflow to identify language in pdf

Yeah, it's a bit of a mess. You keep setting Titre to various filepaths, not the PDF's title and you're using CJK's AppleScript incorrectly. You can't just copy-and-paste it (the variable input_string doesn't exist). You have to read the contents of the text file you create and pass that to the script. I tried to fix it myself, but I couldn't because I'm only able to use programming languages that aren't completely stupid while this requires AppleScript. Perhaps CJK can fix it.

    Asana Quick Task

The workflow appears to live here: https://github.com/mannieschumpert/quicktask Download the zipped repo, extract it, then drag the folder into your workflows directory. To quickly get to your workflows directory, open Alfred Preferences, right-click on any workflow and choose Open in Finder. Then go up one level to the directory named "workflows".

I just followed the instructions in the link you sent and i added Alfred to the section that says Full Disk Access in the Security and Privacy preference pane. This has solved the issue! Thank you so much!

    Search email?

@Jasondm007 I've had a look around, and it doesn't seem possible to show the result in Mail within its conversation, based on what Mail itself allows. For the message recency side of things, I'd suggest copying one of the existing filters within the workflow, and adding a Date Range: This won't necessarily show the messages in date order, but will exclude anything older than the date range you select, making results cleaner for you. Cheers, Vero

    Search email?

It is significantly more efficient to use a workflow to search email than to add it to default results. If your email influx is anything like mine, I wouldn't recommend adding these thousands of emails adding noise to default results! I've created a workflow for searching Mail.app emails, which you can grab here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5h3djhw2thf8xjp/Mail.app Search 3.0.alfredworkflow?dl=0 In short, this workflow uses three keywords: emfrom to search the sender's name and email address em for a general subject + content search emsubj to search specifically for a subject line So you'd type "emfrom Ryan" to look for an email where the sender's name or email address contains "Ryan".
