  1. @whee Further to this earlier discussion, I wanted to add that since Alfred 3.3, you can access Alfred's preferences by right-clicking the bowler hat to launch the preferences, check for updates or quit Alfred. That's five different ways of getting to the preferences Cheers, Vero
  2. Further to this, we've added another way to access preferences; From Alfred 3.3, you can right-click the bowler hat to show preferences, check for updates or quit Alfred Cheers, Vero
  3. Hi @Emyr Welcome to the forum It seems you've already identified CopyPaste Pro is interfering with Alfred. Alfred uses the macOS clipboard for snippets, so if another app is manipulating the clipboard outside of Alfred's control, naturally this will have an effect. You could try slowing down keypresses in Alfred's Snippets preferences under the cog in the top right > Tweaking > "Slow down simulated key events", or there may be an option in CopyPaste Pro that allows you to stop it from interfering with the clipboard. Cheers, Vero
  4. Hi @JonathanMarc Welcome to the forum Could you take a look at the steps listed on the Snippets troubleshooting page, and follow them carefully? It will take you through the steps to ensure that expansion is correctly set up on your Mac. Take a look at other apps in your Accessibility preferences, as well, as these may be interfering with Alfred's ability to recognise your keypresses or paste. https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/snippets/ Let me know how you get on! Cheers, Vero
  5. Hi @andrew.li1987 Welcome to the forum Could you please fill in your Powerpack email address in your forum profile? This is only visible to administrators and allows us to confirm your Powerpack status first. We'll then be happy to answer your questions. Cheers, Vero
  6. @deanishe Nice, I like the cmd modifier for an incognito window - Beats the Chrome workflow I previously had @mrchow19910319 The workflow seems to work fine for me. Are you typing a complete URL (e.g. https://www.alfredapp.com) or a partial one (e.g. alfredapp.com)? Cheers, Vero
  7. @klinquist Welcome to the forum Have the snippets worked for you at one stage? Do they work upon restart until something locks secure input? Just a few ideas of what to try: - Are you running any browser plugins or accessibility apps[1] that could be using secure input and failing to release it? When it next happens, quit running apps one by one to see at which point it's released. - You could also try setting up a temporary second account on your Mac and using snippets there for a little while, to see whether everything works as expected on your second profile? [1] To see the list of apps that have Accessibility permissions, launch System Preferences to Security & Privacy > Privacy > Accessibility. Cheers, Vero
  8. @James56766 I would suggest creating a new temporary user account on your iMac and trying to connect from there; This will help identify whether there might be something on your primary user account that's at the source of the inability to connect, or something that stops that Mac altogether from seeing your Remote. Let me know whether that provides any more insight Cheers, Vero
  9. @dfgh Welcome to the forum If you launch Alfred's prefs to the Workflows tab, click the [+] button in the bottom left, and choose Templates > Clipboard > Paste as plain text. Add the workflow and set your hotkey, and you'll be good to go! Cheers, Vero
  10. @James56766 Welcome to the forum - Did you connect your Mac and iOS device successfully previously? - Did your iOS device present you with a 12 character code to input on your Mac? This will help me establish how far along you managed to get and what may be stopping you from connecting successfully. Cheers, Vero
  11. @hawkmonitor If it says "Loaded 383 bookmarks", it's likely that clicking "Discover automatically" at some stage allowed Alfred to view the right bookmarks file. Sounds like you're all sorted now. Cheers, Vero
  12. @dmcon That's a pretty big list of login items, so it's likely that one of these items is hanging, stopping the remaining items from launching. I can also see you've got Google Drive in there twice, so I would ensure that at least one of these is removed. The ideal scenario would be to remove any non-essential ones, and move Alfred closer to the top. You may also find out in the process which one is hanging. Cheers, Vero
  13. @hawkmonitor Thanks. Good, you're on the latest version for both, which takes a few variables out of the equation. With your Family edition, are you using a single 1PW vault for all your passwords? Next, could you please go to path you mentioned above? Copy & paste it into Alfred from the "Discover Automatically" pop-up to navigate to it quickly, then press right arrow to choose "Reveal in Finder". How many items are listed in this folder (and any subfolders if you're using more than one vault)? Finally, if you add a new bookmark in 1Password, is it added to the other single 1PW entry you can see in Alfred or not?
  14. @hawkmonitor I also asked which version of Alfred you're using, as this will affect whether you can see your family vault. Can you please confirm which version you're on?
  15. @hawkmonitor Could you please confirm the following: - Which version of 1Password and Alfred you're currently using? - Are you using multiple 1Password vaults? Or using the Family or Team versions of 1Password? - Have you used the 1Password beta versions at any point? Cheers, Vero
  16. Hi @dmcon, and welcome to the forum Could you please take a look at your Login items (System Prefs > Users & Groups > choose your user > Login Items) to see what other login items are listed here as launching on startup? It's likely that another app/service launching before Alfred is stopping it from launching correctly. [Moving to discussion & help] Cheers, Vero
  17. @hawkmonitor First, when you go to Alfred's Preferences under Features > 1Password, can you see a list of your bookmarks? This should be similar to the fourth screenshot on this page, where you can see three bookmark entries - you'll most likely have many more bookmarks. https://www.alfredapp.com/help/features/1password/ If you don't see any bookmarks, click "Advanced" in the bottom right, and uncheck/recheck the "Discover Automatically" checkbox, as it's possible that Alfred isn't looking at the correct 1PW file. With regards to the screenshot you provided; This is your primary Alfred hotkey, and has nothing to do with 1Password specifically. I'm not sure Cmd + / is the best choice of hotkey as this is commonly used by other apps. The default hotkey is Alt + space. Let us know how you get on. Cheers, Vero
  18. @Daniel Compton Could you please download the Metadata tool, and drag the Safari Technology Preview app onto it? Paste the results in your reply so that we can see what metadata it contains. https://cachefly.alfredapp.com/tools/AlfredMetadataTool_v1.1.zip It could also be a permissions issue, if it feels like Alfred isn't learning from your usage. Clearing the knowledge in Alfred's Advanced preferences usually helps resolve this Cheers, Vero
  19. @Misha Yes, you can use a File Filter workflow for this - here's one I've created that uses the keyword "co" and searches for text within the contact's details (I think the objective was to search the associated notes). Feel free to modify it in any way you like to suit your needs, of course. Here's the download link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/bnwnnaga3hvyda7/Contacts Filter for Text Content.alfredworkflow Cheers, Vero
  20. @deanishe Public folders should be available until mid-March, but like you, I get a 403 error.
  21. @xilopaint If you type the name of your contact and press Cmd + Return to reveal it in Finder, take a look at where your duplicates are located. If you're using multiple sources (e.g. contacts in your local Address Book, synced contacts from Google and backups stored on your Mac containing vcards) you may find that multiple contacts appear. Alfred will generally only open local contacts in the Contacts Viewer, but other results may be returned when they're within the search scope, so your best bet is to either tidy the less relevant contacts away outside of the search scope, or exclude them using Spotlight's Privacy tab. Cheers, Vero
  22. Hi @xmarc999 Welcome to the forum, and thanks for providing some details. Using Alfred's 1Password integration should be fairly straightforward, so we should be able to get you up and running soon Please take a look at the Troubleshooting Guide here and follow the steps listed to get started: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/1password/ Once you've enabled third-party integration in 1Password, and checked the "Enable 1Password Bookmarks" checkbox in Alfred's Features > 1Password preferences, the large box should be populated with all available bookmarks. Is yours populated with any bookmarks at all? Cheers, Vero [Moved to Discussion & Help as this won't be a bug, and just a case of setting up the integration properly. Will move back to bugs if an issue arises.]
  23. @pedantix Could you please fill in your valid Powerpack email address in your forum profile? I can see you've entered an email address but this doesn't relate to a registered Powerpack license in our system. As soon as you've updated this, I'll be happy to help! Drop me a private message if you need any help updating this. Cheers, Vero
  24. @Jarek You can view the Readme as well as any workflow variables by clicking the [x] in the top right of the workflow canvas. Cheers, Vero
  25. Hi @Misha, The simplest way to do this is to type the name of your contact and: Press return to launch it in Alfred's Contacts Viewer Press Cmd + O to open it in the Contacts app Hold Ctrl + press return to perform a search using your default fallback search (usually Google) You can find out about holding Cmd, Ctrl and Alt, and set your preferred modified actions in Alfred's Advanced preferences in the right column of settings Cheers, Vero
