  1. @pedantix Could you please fill in your valid Powerpack email address in your forum profile? I can see you've entered an email address but this doesn't relate to a registered Powerpack license in our system. As soon as you've updated this, I'll be happy to help! Drop me a private message if you need any help updating this. Cheers, Vero
  2. @Jarek You can view the Readme as well as any workflow variables by clicking the [x] in the top right of the workflow canvas. Cheers, Vero
  3. Hi @Misha, The simplest way to do this is to type the name of your contact and: Press return to launch it in Alfred's Contacts Viewer Press Cmd + O to open it in the Contacts app Hold Ctrl + press return to perform a search using your default fallback search (usually Google) You can find out about holding Cmd, Ctrl and Alt, and set your preferred modified actions in Alfred's Advanced preferences in the right column of settings Cheers, Vero
  4. @patgilmour Do any of the other Evernote workflow keywords work for you? - Does "ent" allow you to search by titles? - Does "enrec" show you a list of your recent Evernote notes? (provided you've created/added some in the past few days) - Does "enn" allow you to create a new note? It'd be helpful to understand how much does and doesn't work for you. If you could provide as much details as you can, it'll be easier to help you troubleshoot the issue. Cheers, Vero
  5. @Samantha Could you please launch your System Preferences to Security & Privacy > Privacy > Accessibility, and let us know what other apps are listed in Accessibility? It sounds like another app with Accessibility may be interfering when using hotkeys. Do you have any Chrome plugins? If so, what are they? Could you also provide more details on the hotkey-based workflow you've created (what is it intended to do) and the hotkey(s) that appear to cause the issue? Cheers, Vero
  6. @gustavomd I've had a play with the "slr" keyword to take a look at these starred items. From what I can see, messages that are starred are returned but not files or images. As such, if there are no matches, the workflow falls back to the Alfred default results. Really, it'd be better practice for it to fall back to a "no starred items found" message, but that's up to the workflow creator @frankspin. Are you certain that 1. You've got the Slack workflow looking at the correct Slack channel? and 2. There are relevant starred messages in that channel? You could always try starring a few messages and testing again as, when there are starred messages, these are correctly returned in my test. Cheers, Vero
  7. @triley60 Sorry about the lack of response here - I expected a fellow community member might be able to help you and this thread fell off my radar. To get the token, type "slt", press cmd and hit return. This will send you to the API page, where you can request and get your token. Once you have your token, re-type "slt" and paste the token you've just copied. Hit return and you'll get a notification confirming the token is set.
  8. @ResNDev In fact, depending on how simple the action you want to perform is, you may not even need a workflow object. In the Features > Contacts preferences, you can set the contact field to email, and the action to pass to a URL scheme, if it's available for the app you have in mind. Here's an example of it in use with macOS' Handoff. Pressing return on a phone number will result in FaceTime (the default app for tel://) to launch. Hope this helps! Cheers, Vero
  9. @ResNDev Looks like you need to take a look at the Contact Action trigger, which is exactly what you'll need to perform a custom action on a contact item: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/workflows/triggers/contact-action/ Let us know how you get on Cheers, Vero
  10. @JoeyBloggs I'm sure @Carlos-Sz will be able to take a look. It'd be particularly helpful if you could share a crash log to give some insight into the issue. I'm not sure the issue @patgilmour is seeing is related, so we can likely still get to the bottom of that. Cheers, Vero
  11. @patgilmour Have you ever successfully seen results appear for Evernote with previous versions? Or is this the first time you use the workflow at all? When I use the "ens" keyword, Evernote first launches in the background. Once launched, the "ens" keyword shows "Show in Evernote" and the titles of the latest 8 entries I've added/modified in Evernote before typing any further to filter my notes. Even if I type "ens aiowghohoa" so that no results are found, I see the "No results" message from the workflow and never fall back to Alfred's default searches. As you're getting a different behaviour, could you please delete the workflow and re-download it from the first page of this thread? Also please check Evernote to be 100% sure you're using the correct version; It should say "Direct" under "About Evernote". Cheers, Vero
  12. @jackbrannen Alfred doesn't randomly escalate low score items, but if these items are being reported by macOS as recently used, this information will be part of how Alfred ranks items where there's no internal knowledge for sorting. Based on the previous exchanges, it's likely that there's an underlying issue on your Mac, such as permissions corruption and/or indexing issues deeper in macOS, resulting in Alfred being unable to correctly save knowledge over a period of time. It's not an issue that has been reported by other users, and it may be resolved naturally the next time you reinstall your Mac from fresh. Cheers, Vero
  13. @M0ll3art Thanks for your post. Could you please add your Powerpack email address to your forum profile? It's only visible to administrators and allows us to confirm your Powerpack status. Cheers, Vero
  14. @adeloscope Could you please fill in your registered Powerpack email address in your forum profile? This is only visible to administrators but allows us to confirm you're a Powerpack user Cheers, Vero
  15. @patgilmour @mboettger1 Could you guys give an example of what's not working for you? I'm using Evernote 6.10 and everything I've tried seems to work as expected, so if you could provide more details, we should be able to help troubleshoot. If there are any legitimate issues, we can ping the wonderful creator of this workflow for a bit of help Cheers, Vero
  16. @FELHO Hi there, could you please fill in your Powerpack email address in your forum profile before joining Powerpack-related discussions? Cheers, Vero
  17. @robert_muench Glad it's resolved! In the future, I would suggest trying to look at an issue more holistically when reporting an issue you're experiencing (e.g. snippets weren't working anywhere on your Mac, nothing to do with MacVim/Terminal) as this could have been resolved in a single reply. Cheers, Vero
  18. @jackbrannen What result types do you include in your default results? We recommend only including the essentials to avoid cluttering up your results. For example, here's what I include in my default results. Alfred learns from your usage, so if you use your web search once or twice, you should see it come up above the other results right away. If you don't see this behaviour, it's likely that there are permissions issues on your Mac, resulting in Alfred being unable to save the knowledge gained from your usage. Cheers, Vero
  19. @David Watkins If you take a look at your Clipboard preferences, can you confirm you've checked the box next to "Keep Images"? You should then be able to right-click an image, e.g. in Google Images results, and choose "Copy image". Make sure you don't choose "Copy image address", otherwise you'll just be copying the URL. If the above doesn't give you the results you expected, please do as suggested by vitor and provide a quick recording so we can help you further. Cheers, Vero
  20. @robert_muench Which version of OS X/macOS are you using? You should see the second Alfred Text Service pop-up after the "Let's get started" one. Does this not appear for you once you click "Let's get started"? https://www.alfredapp.com/help/features/snippets/#expansion Open your Applications folder, right-click on Alfred 3 > Show Package Contents > in the Services folder, you'll find Alfred Text Service. You can drag this manually to the System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Accessibility section and ensure the box is checked. You should then be able to check the box in Alfred's Features > Snippets to start expanding your snippets. Cheers, Vero
  21. @robert_muench Ah, so we can take the focus away from any Terminal-related issues, as it's a broader issue of getting Alfred text expansion working on your Mac! Please take a look at the troubleshooting steps here, which cover most aspects to look at to get text expansion up and running: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/snippets/ Cheers, Vero
  22. @robert_muench Is text expansion working as expected in other applications? The second screenshot looks like a text file, so it'd be helpful to understand whether your issue is global or specific to Terminal, as per my earlier post. Also, could you please confirm that you're using Alfred 3.2.1? Cheers, Vero
  23. @robert_muench I understand what you're trying to do. The reason I'm asking about cmd + v is that Alfred relies on the pasting function for snippets, so if default keys have been remapped, pasting may not be happening as expected. Is snippet auto-expansion working in other apps, e.g. in a Text Edit file, on your Mac? And when you try to auto-expand a snippet, what behaviour do you see? Do the characters from the snippet keyword disappear but the snippet content doesn't appear? Cheers, Vero
  24. @robert_muench It's possible that plugins are interfering, but the first two things to check: Did you remap cmd or ctrl, or make changes that could cause cmd + v not to work as expected? Did you set Terminal to secure input? If so, Alfred would be unable to see the snippet keyword when typed so won't expand. Let me know how you get on Cheers, Vero
  25. @hawkmonitor Apologies, I misunderstood your issue - I thought you were having issues setting a specific hotkey, as I assumed you were using a hotkey-based template rather than a keyword-based one. In your case, simply right-click the black background (the canvas) of your workflow and choose Trigger > Hotkey. This will add a new object to your canvas. Set your hotkey, leaving the Action and Argument as they are, and click Save. You can then drag from the handle at the right of the new hotkey object and connect it into the "Open URL" object. You'll now be able to launch your URL from either the existing "mail" keyword you've set or the hotkey. Let me know how you get on. Cheers, Vero
