  1. @Horo You can navigate to it within Finder or via Alfred, there's no need to use any particular editor. You can paste ~/Library/CloudStorage/Dropbox into Alfred then navigate to the relevant location by opening the Alfred preferences package until you're in the right folder. You can then reveal it in Finder and delete the collection you no longer require.
  2. @Horo I've passed this on to Andrew to investigate further; It's possible that the new Dropbox version doesn't have a proper Trash. For now, you can manually delete the collection as you discovered, and we'll be taking a look into this.
  3. @Zinkren Since the 1Password 8 update, it's no longer possible to manage the workflow via the Features > 1Password preferences in Alfred. So that section won't offer you further settings when using 1PW 8. You can find the official workflow thread here if you have questions about a particular setting you'd like to tweak:
  4. @Horo Sounds like Alfred doesn't have permission to modify files in that location, which could be the result of the move Dropbox did. Could you please create a brand new folder in Dropbox, make sure it's set to be stored locally, then set that as your new sync folder? Everything will be copied to it, so you can test whether deleting the collection now works. If it does, you can delete the old folder to avoid confusion in the future. Let us know how you get on as this might be of interest to other users too
  5. @Horo Welcome to the forum First, regarding your screenshot: Alfred needs Accessibility for snippets, rather than Automation. Alfred will request Automation as and when needed, so no need to worry about that one. As for being unable to delete snippets collections, could you please let me know exactly what error message you're seeing? E.g. if it's a red message, can you take a screenshot? Out of interest, are you syncing your preferences, and if so, which service are you using? I recall seeing in the past that users who a particular sync service (possibly Google Drive, if memory serves me right!) were sometimes unable to delete a snippet collection. If you manually navigate to it, you'll be able to find and remove the folder, but it would be helpful to know which sync service you're using. Cheers, Vero
  6. @Binyamino Welcome to the forum A good place to start with workflows is the official Gallery where you'll find workflows that have been reviewed and are ideal for newbies as we've ensured they have a good readme, configuration is made as easy as possible, etc. https://alfred.app To use Gallery workflows, click the "Install in Alfred" button. As for Github workflows, you'll find a little variation in how different creators present their pages: Some will include an obvious download link in the readme, which you can click to download the .alfredworkflow file In other cases, you'll need to click the "Releases" link in the right side of the page to see the latest release and grab the workflow there Once the .alfredworkflow file is in your Downloads, double-click it and Alfred's preferences will launch to the Workflows tab and offer to import the workflow. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask. We've got a really friendly community here who'll be happy to help.
  7. @Sridhar Katakam Could you please provide more details as to which version of Alfred, macOS and Moom you're using? If you could also take a look at what Alfred's Debugger returns when you use the workflow keyword, it'll likely provide useful information.
  8. @Mike Manewitz Thank you for submitting your workflow - and welcome to the forum The workflow works, and we'd be happy to include it. If you're open to tweaking the workflow a little first, here's what I suggest: Make the keyword configurable via the User Configuration (there are lots of examples in the Gallery already if you want to see how the keyword argument is set) Connect both the gem and gems keywords to the same Open URL so that it's a little tidier and there's only one URL to change in the future if it needs to be updated Does that sound alright?
  9. @fazz21 Welcome to the forum I'm Vero, co-founder of Alfred; I've been working with our community and their workflows for many years, so I wanted to respond to your questions personally. The Google Drive workflow is a first-party workflow, which means it was created by our own team member @vitor. The workflow has been in daily use by a large number of users for over a year: https://www.alfredapp.com/blog/guides-and-tutorials/google-drive-workflow/ It's a very safe and reliable workflow; no data is being communicated to us or any third-party when you use it. Workflows as a whole are very transparent; Any scripts contained within the workflow can be reviewed, and are often shared on Github so you can even view historical changes to it over time. To get you started, workflows hosted on the Alfred Gallery have been thoroughly reviewed by our team, so you can have confidence that these are not only safe, but also fully up-to-date If you have any concerns about a particular workflow, please don't hesitate to share a link to it in the forum and ask more experienced developers to review the code. As for our background as a company, we're fully self-funded, and have been an active part of the macOS community for 12 years. We don't have investors breathing down our neck to monetise users' data; We don't see your searches, usage stats, etc and this data is yours alone. You can find our guide to Alfred and Security here: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/kb/alfred-security/ Cheers, Vero
  10. @noahm In your video, it's not possible to see where you're dragging from, so I wonder if you're dragging from a weird location. The two easiest ways are: 1. Pop up Alfred's search, type Safari and copy directly from Alfred's results. 2. Open Finder to /Applications/ and drag from the list of apps there. Don't drag from the little Finder sidebar or from your Dock as that won't work.
  11. @Jolly Roger 8X You'll need to type "open reg" or press the spacebar before typing "reg", unless you've included dmg files into your default search results.
  12. @Jolly Roger 8X Welcome to the forum Could you drag your alias into the File Troubleshooter and share the output?
  13. @natebeaty Thanks for the details in your post My spidey senses tell me that the external drives could be one of the issues. Have you tried removing the drives for a little while to see if you get any different behaviour? I understand it's tricky when it's not a consistent/repeatable issue, so maybe create a File Filter for the external drives in the meantime? Could you send your Diagnostics file by email to our info@ address? You can get the file by typing "?diagnostics" into Alfred, and it'll allow me to see a little more of your configuration to see what else could be interfering.
  14. Could you please try typing "open donations" and let me know if your file is found?
  15. @Gabrielh Most of the built-in workflows have been moved to the Alfred Gallery, but I haven't migrated the Simple To-Do list yet, you're absolutely right! Here's where you can download it in the meantime: https://www.dropbox.com/s/u8703zr61n9l3cs/Simple To-Do List.alfredworkflow?dl=0 In the future, it'll be included in the Gallery workflows instead I'll make sure documentation is updated accordingly too. Cheers, Vero
  16. @timurray2000 What are you typing when searching for this file? As you haven't sent your Diagnostics file, I can only guess your configuration, so here are a few pointers: 1. By default, you will need to prefix your search term with "open" (or press the spacebar as a shortcut) before searching for a Numbers document. 2. Your data is in iCloud according to the file path, so you'll need to ensure that Optimised Storage is disabled on your Mac to ensure that the files are stored locally and available for search. You can find this in your System Preferences > Apple ID.
  17. @Wehmuth Please email our info@ address and I'll reissue your details. I've removed personal information from the forum post for your security.
  18. @timurray2000 Could you please paste the output from the troubleshooter for a few of the files you're not able to find? It would allow me to understand what's happening on your Mac(s) and help you further. If you could also please send your Diagnostics (which you can get by typing "?diagnostics" into Alfred) by email to our info@ address, I'll be able to take a look more closely at your configuration. Please link back to this thread for context
  19. @noahm I've just had a look and Safari can be dragged in like any other apps. What happens when you try to drag Safari in? And apologies for what may seem obvious but are you definitely dragging Safari in, or an alias / other item that happens to have Safari's icon?
  20. In that case, you may want to use a workflow as you can then dispatch hotkeys and chain Clipboard objects pasting to the frontmost app with a Return key dispatched between each one (and possibly a delay utlity in between if it takes a moment for the new field to gain focus) Take a look at these objects and let us know if you need further help
  21. @convivio Did you click the "Update" button in the bottom right to allow it to update? If you have and the update notification keeps appearing, could you please let me know whether you're syncing your preferences and, if so, where to?
  22. Double-click the Automation Task itself, and take a look at the bottom left. You'll see either "Install tasks" or "update tasks"; Once you click on this, the Automation Tasks will be populated, and the workflow will start working for you More details on Automation Tasks here: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/workflows/automations/automation-task/
  23. @duckasaur Welcome to the forum. What a great friend you are! The best way to purchase for a friend is to enter their details during checkout, and choose PayPal as payment method; This means that the license will be issued directly to them, with their details on file, while allowing you to make the payment using your own details. Just make sure you enter their email address and not yours during checkout as the license will be tied to the email address you use. Let me know if you need any further help! Cheers, Vero
  24. @LiranE Welcome to the forum Edge bookmarks are not a built-in feature but you can find a few different workflows for Edge bookmarks here:
  25. Yes, it is. It requires requesting entitlements from Apple - which doesn't happen overnight - as well as making the necessary changes, but as soon as it's ready, you'll see it in the change log
