  1. @bjelakrez To keep the other thread clean, I've removed the post there. If you keep all replies in this thread, it makes it easier to respond in a single place. As Andrew stated, while we haven't been able to replicate this issue, we recognise that there is a small number of users who are experiencing indexing issues in macOS High Sierra. The file results are provided to Alfred by macOS, and if results are missing altogether for certain search terms, there's nothing Alfred can do to to intelligently sort these using his own algorithms. As Andrew said in the other thread, he has raised bugs with Apple about this, and we are hoping that this behaviour will improve in the next few releases of High Sierra. In parallel, he is also working on ideas to mitigate the issue. The next step is for you to please create a new user account on your Mac temporarily to see what behaviour you see there. Also, as per my earlier post, please fill in your Powerpack email address in your forum profile. This is only visible to admins but allows us to confirm your Powerpack status. Cheers, Vero
  2. @bjelakrez You need to be using the most current version for us to be able to help you out, so please update to the latest version of Alfred 3 (3.5.1 b883) downloaded from https://www.alfredapp.com first. Cheers, Vero
  3. @bjelakrez Jumping from Yosemite to High Sierra is a big upgrade skipping quite a few versions, so there's a reasonable possibility that there's some corruption or legacy libraries/files on your Mac playing havoc with the metadata search itself, which then manifests itself in Alfred. Before we go any further, could you please go through the reindex again from Alfred's Advanced prefs, clicking "Rebuild macOS metadata", and this time, ensuring that you check the "Delete /.Spotlight-V100" when the checkbox pops up. Then follow the instructions in Terminal, and check for any error messages in Terminal itself. You'll then need to leave it up to an hour to complete, then have a play again to see whether results are behaving more as expected. Also, if you're a Powerpack user, could you please fill in your Powerpack email address in your forum profile? This is only visible to admins, and allows us to confirm our users' status. [Edited to add: I've hidden your duplicate message in another thread. There's no need to post the same question in two different threads.] Cheers, Vero
  4. @Yourname Given that the crash is happening in Evernote itself, I would suggest contacting Evernote with this information. In normal conditions, a workflow might not return results if an app isn't working as expected, but it shouldn't cause an app to crash. Your best bet is to send the crash logs to Evernote, with as much detail as possible (e.g. is the app already launched when you search using the workflow, or does it crash on launch) etc... Cheers, Vero
  5. @harlock Please fill in your Powerpack email address in your forum profile. This is only visible to admins, and allows us to confirm your Powerpack user status. Cheers, Vero
  6. @godot When updating, you can always find details of what's in the latest update on the Update tab, which shows you a change log. In 3.5, the big highlight was the new Bookmarks feature. You can find out more about the new feature on the blog as well: https://www.alfredapp.com/blog/releases/alfred-3-5-released-bookmarks-high-sierra/ Cheers, Vero
  7. Thought I'd share the workflow I created for the latest Alfred blog post. It's a very simple workflow where each stream only contains two objects; A Hotkey and a Web Search. By setting the hotkey trigger to pass through either the selection in macOS or the clipboard contents, I can quickly launch a Google search for that text. Take a look at the whole tutorial here: https://www.alfredapp.com/blog/tips-and-tricks/tutorial-fastest-hotkey-based-search/ You can download the workflow itself below. However, if you're new to workflows, it's worth creating it yourself by following the tutorial, as you'll benefit from learning how it works. https://www.dropbox.com/s/99he5q9583mvw64/Google Search selected text or clipboard content.alfredworkflow?dl=0 Enjoy Cheers, Vero
  8. @captainpslurge Welcome to the forum, and sorry to hear about your lost password. Alfred only begins logging clipboard content after the Powerpack is activated, and the Clipboard History feature is manually enabled, in order to protect your privacy. As such, Alfred won't be able to help you recover a password that was copied prior to the Clipboard feature being activated. Good luck recovering your data. Cheers, Vero
  9. @Vinny Following up on @vitor's recommendation to take a look at the indexing troubleshooting page, a full reindex should solve things for you. Referring to the email you sent: "I am shown older files instead of the newer resume file which I have been editing for the past few weeks." Alfred doesn't cache files, so if you're seeing this kind of behaviour, it'll be down to indexing issues. When reindexing, be sure to check the box for "Delete /.Spotlight-V100" when Alfred shows you the checkbox, as this ensures that the index is built from fresh, then follow instructions in Terminal. Cheers, Vero
  10. @CocoCoding Welcome to the forum! Could you please fill in your Powerpack email address in your forum profile before asking for workflow-related help? Your details are only visible to admins (Andrew and myself) and it helps us confirm your Powerpack status. Cheers, Vero
  11. @Wouter Have you tried restarting Chrome? A few Twitter users reported this, but it turned out that Chrome had self-updated and was misbehaving. A relaunch of Chrome resolved the issue for them. Cheers, Vero
  12. @JimmyTheSaint Did you read my response? Cmd + Option + C is the Clipboard Viewer hotkey, not the Snippets hotkey. You can change or disable this under Features > Clipboard. Cheers, Vero
  13. @Emil Beyond the tips already provided by @vitor, have you also checked whether Unclutter respects transient content from other sources? It may be that either the option isn't enabled in Unclutter, or the developer hasn't considered watching for the transient content flag to ignore the passwords you copy from your workflow. Cheers, Vero
  14. @FGM As suggested by @vitor, a careful look at the Indexing Troubleshooting page usually yields a solution Also, I notice in your picture, you're showing an alias for "doc". Rather than using aliases, add the real path of your files to your Alfred search scope, under Features > Default Results. Cheers, Vero
  15. @-dp- Could you please provide some more information about these files? Which version of Alfred are you using, what file types they are, where they're located, whether Spotlight finds the same file when Alfred does not, and so on, so that we can help you further. Also, given you've recently upgraded to High Sierra, I would recommend rebuilding the index again, ensuring that you check the "Delete /.Spotlight-V100" when Alfred pops up this message. This will ensure the index is re-created from scratch. Let me know how you get on. Cheers, Vero
  16. @alpha11411 Are you using any other clipboard managers (e.g. PopClip), keyboard modifiers or other apps which would be responding to this? Please take a look at System Prefs > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Accessibility and let me know what apps are listed there. It may be that another app is interfering with the normal behaviour. Cheers, Vero
  17. @alpha11411 You need to hold Cmd, and press C twice (without letting go of Cmd). Make sure that you've turned on the feature in Features > Clipboard > Merging where the "Fast Append" checkbox needs to be ticked. Cheers, Vero
  18. Hi @eyals Welcome to the forum! Yes, snippets should be migrated from Alfred 2 to Alfred 3 with no issues. Did you use the Alfred Migration Assistant, which should've popped up when installing Alfred 3 on the Mac where you had Alfred 2 installed? If you use Time Machine or any form of backup, look for your original Alfred.alfredpreferences. If you were syncing, you'll find this in your sync folder location If you were not syncing, you'll find it in ~/Library/Application Support/Alfred 2/ You can then follow the steps to re-run the migration here: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/getting-started/migration/#re-run Also, please note that we don't recommend using Google Drive, as it's not sufficiently fast or reliable at syncing, and doesn't deal with file conflicts smoothly. Dropbox is the most reliable solution for syncing preferences at this time. More information on syncing prefs: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/advanced/sync/ Cheers, Vero
  19. @able We haven't yet had the opportunity to test Google Drive File Stream first-hand, but I suspect that these files are not stored locally, and are just proxy files for an online storage solution. According to other users, Spotlight doesn't find the Google Drive File Stream files as they're not indexed, so Alfred won't find them either. If you move a file to your Desktop, is it then indexed and found by both? If so, you may want to visit Google Drive forums and establish whether it's possible for Spotlight to index File Stream files. (Do share your findings if you find anything interesting, as it's likely to help other users). Cheers, Vero
  20. @Migs What exactly are you trying to do? I explained how to copy the file path to clipboard in my first response: To reiterate, when you either: find the File in Alfred and press the right arrow to show File Actions, or find a file in Finder and press the File Selection hotkey (Alt + Cmd + \ by default) You will see the File Actions list like so: You'll then be able to choose "Copy Path to Clipboard" to copy the path of the file to your clipboard. If we've misunderstood your question, could you please clarify what you're trying to achieve? Cheers, Vero
  21. This is something we've been keeping an eye as currently, Apple doesn't give access to music outside of your local music library. If Apple opens this up, we'll consider any possible changes to this Cheers, Vero
  22. @xixixao Welcome to the forum Yes, you can drop Finder in the list of apps to ignore in Alfred's Features > Clipboard > Advanced preferences: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/features/clipboard/#advanced Cheers, Vero
  23. @alfredpleb Welcome to the forum! Could you please fill in your Powerpack email address in your forum profile? This is only visible to admins (Andrew and I) and allows us to confirm your Powerpack status first Cheers, Vero
  24. @s95hc8 Welcome to the forum. It's likely to be something quite simple, so can I clarify a few things based on what you said to help me work out what's happening? Does Alfred's Knowledge work as expected? To test this, type "s" and choose an app (not a workflow) other than your current top result and launch that second result a few times from Alfred. Has Alfred moved that item to the top and learned that's your preferred result for "s"? If not, then permissions are broken and is likely the source of your issue. This can happen when upgrading macOS, so if you've recently updated to High Sierra, that may be when the issue started. You say you've repaired permissions, so could you let me know how you did this? These are the steps we recommend: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/preferences/ If Alfred's Knowledge is working normally, let me know and I'll suggest next steps. Cheers, Vero
