  1. @Yourname Have you taken a look at the crash logs or sent them to Evernote? The crash logs are likely to provide more information on why Evernote is crashing. Provided you're using the latest version of Evernote from their website (not the App Store version), the workflow should work normally for you Cheers, Vero
  2. @Moody Welcome to the forum Yes, it's possible to navigate into folders, perform actions on your results and more using the arrows, using Alfred's File Navigation system. For this, you'll need the Powerpack (https://www.alfredapp.com/powerpack/) Cmd + down arrow will navigate into the folder, while the right arrow will take you to a list of file actions available for that particular file type (default actions, as well as any custom actions you add using workflows) Cheers, Vero
  3. @kennyg Are you looking for anything specific in Amazon UK (e.g. subcategories)? If you're simply looking to use UK-specific web searches, go to Alfred's General prefs and set your location as UK. Amazon, eBay, Google and other relevant services will give you UK-specific results automatically. Cheers, Vero
  4. @mkborregaard There are dozens of templates to help you get started, and over 60 workflows (examples, templates and Getting Started guides) built into Alfred: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/workflows/templates/ Under Templates > Essentials, you'll find a "Keyword to AppleScript" you can use to get started. Cheers, Vero
  5. @bunnysuited Welcome to the forum! Please fill in your Powerpack email address in your forum profile. This is only visible to Andrew and I as admins, and allows us to confirm your Powerpack status. Cheers, Vero
  6. @lutefish Would you consider sharing your workflow so that fellow users can help you with the little bits you're unsure about, and benefit from the features that work well in the latest version? A workflow that's available to others is a workflow that can be kept alive by the community. Cheers, Vero
  7. @thinkingBanana Welcome to the forum. Could you please let me know whether you're syncing your preferences? If so, how are you syncing them? This is the most likely reason your preferences aren't appearing as expected. We recommend Dropbox as the most reliable way to sync preferences. We advise against using iCloud and Google File / Google File Stream, as we've had a number of reports from users having issues with these services, as they're inconsistent in syncing and don't deal with file conflicts as gracefully. If you can provide more details, I (and other community members) will be happy to help you out Cheers, Vero
  8. @wangyijie Yes, as a Powerpack user, you can use your own custom searches as fallbacks Here's how you can create and use your own custom searches or workflows: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/features/default-results/fallback-searches/ Cheers, Vero
  9. @johnnyxhuynh Could you please install the Metadata Tool and drag a file that Alfred doesn't show for you? Paste the output so we can take a look. https://cachefly.alfredapp.com/tools/AlfredMetadataTool_v1.1.zip Could you also give precise examples of what you're searching for in Alfred as a screenshot, as well as one of your default search results settings? Cheers, Vero
  10. Hi @olivm and welcome to the forum. Please take a look at the "lag" header in this post for the simple fix (lowering window blur on the theme you're using): https://www.alfredapp.com/blog/tips-and-tricks/alfred-3-5-ready-for-high-sierra/ Also, please fill in your Powerpack email address in your forum profile. This is only visible to admins, but allows us to confirm the Powerpack status of users. Cheers, Vero
  11. @jackbrannen That's such a vague statement, it's not possible to really provide any help... Could you please give us more details? Did you go through the Indexing Troubleshooting steps? What type of files are you searching for? Where are they are located? Is this path in your Alfred search scope? Were these files found before by Alfred? What are you typing into Alfred exactly when searching? Is Spotlight finding the exact same file (check the path by pressing Cmd when you select the file on the left side in Spotlight to see the path in the bottom right) Cheers, Vero
  12. @Bananasplit Welcome to the forum! Could you take a look at the theme you're using to see whether you're affected by the lag issue outlined here (third header)? Simply lower the window blur on your theme to resolve any lag issues. https://www.alfredapp.com/blog/tips-and-tricks/alfred-3-5-ready-for-high-sierra/ Cheers, Vero
  13. @AlexejK Welcome to the forum Please make sure you search the forum before creating a new post, as this is a very active community, so you'll often find that things like this are already discussed somewhere. For example, this issue is discussed here, and Andrew provided a workflow-based solution for the time being. Cheers, Vero
  14. @politicus They're now a different kind of token. Details from another user are here: Cheers, Vero
  15. @vitor @deanishe Ah, what a team you two make!
  16. @jonniecharles When you simply use Cmd + C, Cmd + V on your Mac, you're using the macOS clipboard, not Alfred's. The macOS clipboard retains the formatting of what you copied. This is a very old thread, dating back from Alfred 2, but here's how you can make sure you're pasting in plain text from Alfred 3: 1. Show the Clipboard Viewer (Cmd + Option + C) and choose the snippet you want. When pressing return, it'll be pasted as plain text to your frontmost app. 2. Use a hotkey to paste your current clip as plain text: Go to Alfred's Workflows tab, click the + at the bottom of the sidebar, and choose Templates > Clipboard > Paste as plain text from hotkey. Set your preferred hotkey. When you next use this hotkey, the contents of your current clipboard will be pasted as plain text to the frontmost app, without showing the Clipboard Viewer. Cheers, Vero
  17. @deanishe Google Drive Stream has only cropped up in conversations with users in recent weeks, so I'm not sure whether there's been some new features recently, resulting in more users trying it out. We're always mindful of outright discouraging use of a sync service until we have sufficient information, as it might be that the first user or two's issues aren't related to the service they're using, but to another factor. However, in this case, it seems we've now seen enough evidence of users seeing their preferences "disappear" (likely due to a file conflict or other sync issue Google Drive Stream isn't quite sophisticated enough to resolve on its own) that I've now updated the Sync page to more directly address Google Drive as well. Cheers, Vero
  18. @HRD Syncing of Clipboard History as a whole won't happen for both security/privacy reasons and because of the sheer amount of data that would need to be synced. We recommend saving clips as snippets if you need them to be synced between your Macs. When the Clipboard History Viewer is showing, press Cmd + S to save a clip as a snippet quickly. Cheers, Vero
  19. @stutes We don't recommend Google Drive or iCloud to sync your preferences; Neither of these services are sufficiently reliable. They sync preferences either too slowly or not at all, and are often unable to resolve file conflicts (e.g. if you're syncing from two Macs which have different preferences). If you either set your preferences to be stored locally, or synced via Dropbox, disable and re-enable Clipboard History and see if this resolves the issue for you. Let me know how you get on. Cheers, Vero
  20. @clancularius Welcome to the forum! Could you please fill in your Powerpack email address in your forum profile? This is only visible to admins (Andrew and I) and allows us to confirm your Powerpack user status. Cheers, Vero
  21. Hi @mbigras - Take a look at this blog post, in particular the "lag" header. It's likely that you just have a high window blur theme, and tweaking your theme will resolve the issue for you https://www.alfredapp.com/blog/tips-and-tricks/alfred-3-5-ready-for-high-sierra/ Cheers, Vero
  22. @knhn If you simply want to add a keyword to pop up your Volume in Finder, create a workflow with a keyword object (set your keyword, choose "No argument") connected to a Launch Apps/Files into which you drag your Little Big volume. You'll then be able to type the keyword and press return to pop up a Finder window opening to your volume.
  23. @Harry36 Welcome to the forum. Could you please launch Console.app and email a few of the crash logs your Mac will have kept from this to our info@ address? This will allow us to take a look at this in more details, as we've not heard of any crashes of this type.
  24. @2urn Sorry to hear about your drive issues! If you were backing up to Dropbox and Time Machine, you should be able to go to your sync location in your backed up files and find Alfred.alfredpreferences. Quit Alfred, copy this entire file (it's a package) from your Time Machine backup to your "current" Mac files and pop it in the same location. Restart Alfred and check that the sync location is correctly set in Advanced > Sync, and you'll be sorted. Let me know how you get on Cheers, Vero
  25. @bocaboy Glad to hear that's all resolved, and that it was this simple. I'll now move this ticket to closed. Cheers, Vero
