@Buffer You can see a fairly detailed summary of your usage on the OpenAI site's Usage tab:

You'll see your activity split by day, and by text and image content.

@sepulchra No license will have been issued in your case, as you upgraded from Legendary to Legendary+, and therefore already have a Legendary license at hand.

Users going from Mega Supporter to Legendary, as is the scenario for @Mr Pennyworth, will receive a new license as it allows them to activate with the Legendary license, reflecting their shiny new status in the preferences!

We're humbled that the community asked us to create this additional way to support Alfred; This really is the nicest corner of the internet

Wow everyone, this release is hugely impressive. This must have been a tremendous amount of work. Apologies @vitor for jumping the gun on the View Notes workflow thread. So grateful to have all this hard work at my fingertips day in and day out. It is hard to believe you aren't a team of 10 people.

I do have a very important question though. How legendary does our support need to be to get an Alfred Bowler in the mail so we can look like John Bonham in the 70s?

I didn't realize that. I learn something new everyday! And even just a few years ago I don't think I would have been able to build something like this thanks in part to this forum.

Not for the screen shot, but I like to be able to see the entire flow at a glance if possible. I have 2 x 27" displays and I like to see it all on one. If don't have to scroll, I choose not to scroll!!!!

Vero got a reaction from bluemonstersinc in "Launch Alfred at login" setting not persisted
@Thanos Welcome to the forum! If you open System Settings > General > Login Items, is Alfred included in the "Open at Login" list? I would suggest you remove and re-add (via the [+] button) Alfred to the launch items, just in case there's been some corruption in macOS in the upgrade to Sonoma (which is a fairly common occurrence).

If the issue persists, could you please provide your Diagnostics file, which you can get by typing "?diagnostics" into Alfred? You can then email it to our info@ email address so that I can take a look.

Vero got a reaction from Dan-Mulligan in Novice query: Finder / file search
    @Dan-Mulligan Welcome to the forum

Without knowing your exact configuration, I can only guess that you've added documents/PDFs to your default results and your (external?) SSD to your default search scope.

I'll make a few suggestions that might improve your search experience while answering your question.

Previewing files: You can press the Shift key to take a look at the highlighted result in QuickLook.

Browsing a folder: If you'd like to look at all files within a particular folder, press the right arrow to see the Actions that are available for your file. You can then reveal the folder in Finder, browse the folder in Alfred, etc...

Creating a File Filter: If you often search for pdfs in a set of pre-defined folders, a File Filter workflow would save you time in browsing in folders that aren't relevant. Here's the guide to creating your own File Filter workflow.

You'll also find some existing workflows on the Gallery, which you can use as a starting point to customise:
Simple Folder Search Dynamic File Search Keep recent query history in Alfred: Open Alfred's preferences to Advanced, and check both the "Store typed query" and "Show latest query if within 5 minutes" so that if you close Alfred, you can pop the window back up and your search query will still be there.

    Hope these tips help!

    Welcome to the forum.

When asking questions like this it's helpful to specify the name of the workflow you're using (or to upload a copy of it somewhere if it's your own workflow) so that someone can see whether there is a problem in the workflow itself—or, perhaps, in your own configuration of the workflow.

Edit: Sorry, replied at the same time as Vero's much more thorough answer!

Vero got a reaction from godbout in 1Password — Search and open 1Password items
@godbout This may be tricky to troubleshoot, as this is working smoothly across the board at the moment, so there'll be something specific happening on your Mac causing the issues you're seeing.

This may be obvious but please ensure you're up to date for both Alfred, the workflow, your preferred browser, 1PW8 and their browser plugin just in case there's a mismatch somewhere along the way.

Have you reported the issues you're seeing to the 1Password team?

You can change your fallback searches by going to Alfred's Features > Default Results and clicking on "Setup Fallback Results" at the bottom.

Having now taken a look at @OmarKN's Diagnostics file, I could see he was using an older build of Alfred from before {isodate} was added to the dynamic placeholders. Updating to the current Alfred 5.1.4 will likely take care of the issue.

Vero got a reaction from zlc1952 in Snippets & Clipboard Not Working - Anki (application)
@zlc1952 Welcome to the forum  Vero aka ra1ndr0p here.

Thanks for sharing the video - based on everything I can see, and what you've said, this issue is exclusive to Anki, so have you contacted them to understand how it manipulates the clipboard? Snippets text expansion also uses pasting, so everything points to Anki (or more specifically, one or more of the plugins) manipulating the clipboard in such a way that normal operation cannot happen from Alfred.

The notification sound you're hearing - assuming it is what I think it is - is the sound you'll hear when there's no text field in focus for Alfred to paste a snippet or clipboard item into. Again, it indicates that Anki is doing something unusual.

If other community members use Anki, they may also have suggestions.

    Please also export and attach:
The snippet collection that includes the one you created to test dynamic text expansion as suggested by Stephen_C earlier, and attach this to your email so that I can take a look at anything unusual in the snippets. The workflow you're using as it currently stands, with any changes you've made to it. I'll then be able to take a look and see if anything stands out.

Vero got a reaction from Valerie in Restoring from Time Machine Backup without migrating
    @porcupine945 Welcome to the forum

First, you'll need to manually activate your Powerpack license, so let me know if you need your license reissued by email.

The file you're looking for is your Alfred.alfredpreferences bundle, which can be in one of two locations:
In your Application Support folder: ~/Library/Application Support/Alfred/ In your sync folder, if you were previously syncing, which could be in iCloud, Dropbox, etc... Once you've recovered the bundle from your backup, put the whole bundle in the same location, then check that your sync folder is set to point to it in Alfred's Advanced preferences.

Let me know how you get on
