I really need to learn how to make this stuff, seems like there is so much more I could do with automating my hosting / regular tasks but just need to learn how to code them. Also thank you Deanishe, I have seen your workflow and it looks amazing, I will be working with it too! Thank you for such an amazing community. One last question, is there a resource for learning the basics of this, I need to know how to make the script files I believe, because I can do a lot of the "in the workflow" stuff but have no idea how to do the scripting

You are completely right, showing a filterable list would be fine, and no I can add them myself if that makes it much harder. The list would be helpful for now, is that an easy implantation? The workflow I have right now is literally individual keywords connected to launch URLS, like I said I dont know the coding on this at all! I have included a screenshot. having a list would be great for now, adding pages would be a really cool feature but it sounds like that would be a big pain in the ass Would I be able to update it from a file maybe? Thats seems like it would be easier than having to make a new part of the workflow with every page

I am a web designer who uses alfred everyday. I cant live without this app. I have created plenty of workflows but they are all very simple and no real coding involved. Here is what Im looking to do I need a simple workflow that I type "wp" followed by a keyword and it launches that page. I have some simple ones set up for now. First thing I want to add is the ability to list the keywords, so if I went "wp list" I could get a list of all keywords and websites via a dropdown in alfred secondly I would like to be able to add the ability to type a keyword and save the current tab im working on into the workflow, for instance I am on amazon I would type "wp add amazon" and then amazon.com would be added to the list under that keyword anyone know of something that does this already or a way to implement it? Thank you, you are such a great community!

I am looking to create a workflow that does this.. if I had some text on a page like this.... Test Text And I select that text, then use a keyword or shortcut, it would apply <strong> before and </strong> after I have already set something up like this but it requires me to cut the text out, use my keyword, paste the text into alfred and then it will apply the styling. Is there anyway to make alfred do this without having to cut it and paste it back in?

For work I have to constantly forward emails to a specific address, how would I go about telling alfred to forward an email to a preprogramed address. I imagine I could do it with system commands and key combinations and delays, but I have found this method to be unreliable.

Every morning, I take a couple typing tests on 10fastfingers.com I enjoy the pre work warm up. It got me thinking, is there any way to do a typing game in alfred? I cant imagine how it would work but Ive seen some pretty amazing stuff come out of the community. Any ideas that I could expand on?

So I do a lot of WhoIs searches and used to have a worklow that would show me the results of a WhoIs Search within alfred, this was very helpful but it doesn't work anymore, also I deleted it (as I was going to re download it) but the link is dead, so I have no reference point either. Now let me start but saying, I am brand new to making these workflows, Ive been using alfred for years, its my favorite part of my mac. And I have made plenty of simple workflows but nothing too complicated. I would love to learn, so I figured this would be a good place to start. I completely understand if my lack of knowledge makes this much too complicated to be walked through, but Im just hoping that its a good place to start. So I dont even know where to start this, I know how to do a search on a specific site, but I have absolutely no idea how to make the results displayed. Thank you in advance if you do have the time to help, but I completely understand if it is too complicated!

Not really sure where to put this, but I have an idea and no idea how to implement it. At work, our internet goes out quite a bit, my wifi stays active and full, so I have to open a new window, type something random into google and see if it works to know if the net is down and if it needs to be restarted. I could make a workflow that launches a google window and iinputs some random stuff, but can anyone think of a more elegant solution, a one word test that can be run through alfred and give me the result (connected or no connection) in alfred as well. thank you so much!

error "Reminders got an error: Can’t get list \"Inbox\"." number -1728 from list "Inbox" when running in apple scripts, trying alfred now osx el captain 10.11.3

I cant get this one working when I add reminders I get no confirmation and I see no new reminders added to the "Reminders" app, any ideas?
