Thanks for the reply, Vero. Adding a .jar file to the default file results fixed the issue.

I have a few .jar apps in my Applications directory, but these don't show up when searching for them by name in Alfred. A .jar file is an executable archive and essential works the same as a .app application, so there's no reason they shouldn't appear in Alfred. Keep up the good work!
