  1. My HFS+ startup disk is case-insensitive like most people’s (because Adobe still can’t get their s**t together and write the paths to their installed libraries in the correct case) and I’ve noticed that changing the casing of a file name makes Alfred index the file twice. This, presumably, is because the old entry is checked first and since the filesystem is case-insensitive, the system reports that, indeed, the file still exists. Later it is added to alfred’s database with the new casing and because the database index (or the function that checks for duplicates) does not consider these two entries the same, it will add a new entry for the new casing.
  2. I love the file selection hotkey with which I can send the currently selected finder item to Alfred quickly. Sometimes I want to send the folder I’m currently in to Alfred. Pressing the hotkey on the window (or desktop) without any selected items, however, does nothing. The shortcut should just work as expected in these cases, too and send the folder that is represented by the current window to Alfred. As a workaround, I have to navigate one level up and select the folder again there. This is trivial in column view but more than a little bit cumbersome in other finder views (or when I’m on the desktop and want to send the desktop to Alfred).
  3. On many Alfred items (Files and Apps) I can hit tab and a list of actions shows up. I’d love for this to be also possible with URLs. Especially the “Open in…” action, which would show all apps capable of handling the URL (e.g. with http(s)-URLs it would show me all my browsers, with vnc-URLs it would show me Screen Sharing, Chicken of the VNC, etc). Currently URLs only open with the default handler application. One other cool thing this allows is for custom workflows to add actions on certain URL schemes. This way I could add the “Download with Folx” workflow I’ve always wanted…
