Finally, after removing almost every app that might steal hotkeys, located the problem is right when Safari is running ... Turned out that if any of the Safari tab is viewing sciencedirect.com, Option+Space won't work (nor does anything). Close this tab, runs perfectly. Other browser wouldn't do this. What a surprise!

I've been using option+space as the Alfred Hotkey for many years. Now I'm using Alfred 3. However, after I upgrade to Sierra, the hotkey sometimes lost response. It just won't work occasionally. When it start to not working, Alfred is still running in the background, and I can use spotlight to search Alfred 3 to activate the input bar. However even that I still cannot use the hotkey--To make it work again, I have to explicitly "Quit Alfred", and start Alfred 3 again. When option+space doesn't work, it just shows nothing. I can confirm there is no other hotkey assigned to option+space in Keyboard preference, and I can also confirm that in Karabiner's event viewer, option+space is indeed working in this case. Any method to track this problem down? It is really annoying. Thanks a lot!

The two icons show up every time I activate input bar, and once I click them, they open these apps. I can't get rid of them unless I shut down Alfred and open again. Is it a new feature? (Alfred 3) Thank you!
