  1. For more info https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/174805/does-spotlight-index-dotfiles-os-x-yosemite For anyone willing to try it. Rename the ".oh-my-zsh" folder to "oh-my-zsh" in your oh-my-zsh settings (~/.zshrc). Will post any update, if things go wrong.
  2. Dragging is exactly what I did. When I drag Airmail 3 on the mac where it is not working, the Airmail 3 is not recognized by Alfred. The logo of the application disappears is replaced by some white sheet as if I didn't have Airmail 3 installed on my mac. The same thing happened with 1Password. But with 1Password, resetting the application path in the action pane solved the problem.
  3. I uninstalled Airmail 2, so I only have one Airmail application on the mac it doesn't work. I am sure Airmail 3 is installed in /Applications on both macs. And yes they both are named "Airmail 3" (ran the mdls command).
  4. Hi, On one of my 2 macs, I can launch Airmail 3 using workflow (keyboard shortcut) on the other Airmail is greyed out in the workflow. At first, I thought it is only because, on the mac it doesn't work, I have "Airmail 2" in my /Applications and my workflow refers to Airmail 3. Yes, I have "Airmail 2" in Applications while the application version really is 3.5. Even after reinstalling the application, resetting the right application path in the workflow, Airmail 3 is still greyed out and can't be launched with a keyboard shortcut.
  5. I have a workflow that does that. It copies some text in the clipboard. After I hit a magical keyboard shortcut, it opens a url with the format (URL/ClipboardContents) in a new tab in my favorite browser. You combine a "hotkey action" (select "Pass through to workflow" and "selection in macOS") with an "open url" action (place {query} where you want your clipboardContent to appear) and you are good to go. HTH. @Vero you are too fast for me ;-)
  6. Hi, I just installed ohmyzsh (https://github.com/robbyrussell/oh-my-zsh A collection of themes and plugins to supercharge zsh. Basically, these are jst .zsh and .md files) and wanted to browse through its files and folders. All these these and plugins are installed in a folder located at ~/.oh-my-zsh I created a workflow with a file filter action but couldn't make it work. I guess it is because its files and folders are located in one hidden folder. The workflow works when the folder is renamed ~/oh-my-zsh.
  7. Vero, I used tab instead of Alt+right Arrow. Tested with Alt+right Arrow and it worked like a charm. Thanks!
  8. Hi, I wanted to delete two documents of my Downloads folder. I selected my documents (.flv files) using the buffer feature. Once my two files were selected, I hit the tab button, selected the Delete action, and hit Enter. Only one file was deleted. I tried with two .jpg files -> same result. Alfred version: Alfred 3 v3.5 (868). Mac version: Mac OS X 10.10.5.
  9. For an alternative Google url shortener https://github.com/kopepasah/alfred-google-url-shortener
  10. +1 The more you use this feature -> the more collections you have -> the more it become painful to have to right click and choose "Move To..." then the adequate folder.
  11. Hi, Yesterday I updated Alfred to the latest version of Alfred (3.3.2) as I wanted to get rid of the little bug I encounter every time I expand a snippet for the first time of my session. Alfred either expands the latest clipboard item or if the text of my snippet is "Alfred", Alfred expands "AAlfred".
  12. No. Just a basic keyboard shortcut + open application workflow.
  13. The solution is pretty simple. Just toggle Excel via a keyboard shortcut. As the file is already opened, it will be displayed.
  14. @deanishe I saw it as an Alfred question. I thought maybe I was using the wrong Alfred action or forgot to check a setting... My bad.
  15. I am trying to create a workflow that would let me do the following after hitting a keyboard shortcut : - Launch one specific .xlsb file with macros - If the this file is already opened, toggle visibility for the file. The thing is this file has macros. So, every time I hit my keyboard shortcut, Excel closes my file (without asking me if I want to save it), then opens a window where I have to select between "Enable Macros", "Do Not Open","Disable Macros". As I want to enable the macros I have to use my trackpad to select "Enable Macros". Then opens my file. At last! It would be cool if there was a way to toggle visibility for Excel files with macros the same way we can toggle visibility for applications.
  16. @Vero I categorized my keyboard shortcuts. Having to filter by a certain category every time I want to check a keyboard shortcut is too many clicks for me Displaying keyboard shortcuts is not very helpful in the case you have more than one keyboard shortcut per workflow... And so many of my workflows have more than one keyboard shortcut. BUT I found THE solution. Adding "0_" to the name of the workflow is the simplest and fastest way to make sure it stays at the top of the list.
  17. As the number of my workflows is growing I have to scroll to find the workflow I am looking for. Plus, as I am in a "learn your Alfred keyboard shortcuts" mode, I scroll to three of four workflows to find those goddamn keyboard shortcuts all the time The workflows filter + search are great but would love to be able to pin workflows, so that it stays at the top of the workflows list. A small feature that would make my life so much better
  18. Very helpful workflow, but when using in Alfred 3, I get this error when trying to edit the preset with the .node and the .preset keywords: Starting debug for 'Files Rename Bulk' [2016-12-13 11:23:46][STDERR: input.scriptfilter] 31:39: syntax error: A “"” can’t go after this identifier. (-2740)
  19. Links do not work in snippets. There is a feature request here
  20. (Using Alfred 3) Either with "km" and "kc" as keywords, I get error messages. For example with "kc": [2016-12-10 13:50:53][ERROR: input.scriptfilter] Code 1: /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/2.0/usr/lib/ruby/2.0.0/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_require.rb:55:in `require': cannot load such file -- bundle/bundler/setup (LoadError) from /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/2.0/usr/lib/ruby/2.0.0/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_require.rb:55:in `require' from ./main.rb:7:in `<main>' [2016-12-10 13:50:56][ERROR: input.scriptfilter] Code 1: /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/2.0/usr/lib/ruby/2.0.0/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_require.rb:55:in `require': cannot load such file -- bundle/bundler/setup (LoadError) from /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/2.0/usr/lib/ruby/2.0.0/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_require.rb:55:in `require' from ./main.rb:7:in `<main>' [2016-12-10 13:50:57][ERROR: input.scriptfilter] Code 1: /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/2.0/usr/lib/ruby/2.0.0/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_require.rb:55:in `require': cannot load such file -- bundle/bundler/setup (LoadError) from /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/2.0/usr/lib/ruby/2.0.0/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_require.rb:55:in `require' from ./main.rb:7:in `<main>'
  21. @deanishe You are 100%. I, by no means, meant asking any Alfred user to do all the work. I just wanted to share a workflow idea (-> modified the tittle+post of the thread accordingly).
  22. After trying Cram, StudyBlue and Anki, I am a big user of Quizlet. (A flashcard manager). The problem I have is the following. I often want to add a new flashcard to a specific set in quizlet.com which means I have to: - open quizlet.com - search for the right set, - open the set, - click on one more button so I can edit the set, - crawl to the end of the set, - select the left box, - type my text, - hit tab to select the right box, - type my text, - hit another button to save my changes. What a long process to only add a few words ! As Christmas is coming, dreaming is allowed , I had in mind the following concerning adding a new card to one of my flashcards sets: - I fire the Quizlet workflow with a keyboard shortcut I previously defined - I select the set I want add a new card to by typing its first few letters - I hit enter - Once the set is selected, I type the text I would have typed in the left box - Hit enter - I type the text I would have typed in the right box - Hit enter New card added! As some work with the Quizlet API (https://quizlet.com/api/2.0/docs) is required (= way beyond my knowledge). If one of you is interested in developing such workflow... PS: I sent this idea to Quizlet support. Waiting for their answer.
  23. Ah "Nesteed snippets". One of the reason I am still using TextExpander AND Alfred. Great request! +1
