TheDonk got a reaction from mkrnr in Show on all screens
I'd like an option that shows Alfred on all monitors. Most of the time this isn't all that relevant, but when I'm doing research and writing about it at the same time I often look at one screen with e.g. pdf's while my text editor monitor is the active one. So when I toggle Alfred I have to turn my head or activate the pdf reader first. A grave problem comparable to global warming or famine imho.

Seems like your use case is somewhat fixed. Does none of these appearance options work for you? Either “default screen” (move it when you start working) or “mouse screen” should do the job.

I use this one to change default browser, there is also a cli tool "defaultbrowser", so it's possible to use something like Hammerspoon to react to system events (like on AC or not) and call it. In addition, I have a small workflow if I want to keep all my tabs - https://www.dropbox.com/s/w14q8t4vk6utvpu/Switch Browser.alfredworkflow?dl=0 . It just takes all tabs from Vivaldi and opens them in Safari or vice versa

Probably a Launch Services issue.
Your system doesn’t (properly) recognise .md as a Markdown extension.
Run mdls or Andrew’s metadata tool on a few .md file to see what the system thinks their UTI is.
The solution is to ensure that some application is registering .md with the correct UTI. You can create a do-nothing application with Xcode with the corresponding entries in info.plist.

Would it take a lot of work to include other chromium-based browsers (I'm a happy Vivaldi user)? Thanks for this excellent workflow anyway.

TheDonk reacted to Benzi in (faster) Menu Search
v1.1.0 - Added Fuzzy Text Matching for Menus
If you have a menu item New Tab, then typing m nt in Alfred will match New Tab, since n and t matches the first letters of the menu text.

What about this workflow is problematic on El Capitan? I tried it, and it seems to work for most apps (Spotify the only window that didn't show up in the list).
It is indeed much faster than the one I've been using.
