This is just fantastic! It could complete convert me to using DEVONthink entirely. I'm still trying to get the hang of applying actions to buffered items, but I think that's going to be so handy! One question: I saw that you included this script in the workflow package: dt3ReferenceURL.scpt. How do I get it to run. I use PDF Expert, and I'd love to be able to open the corresponding item in DEVONthink, for further processing, or especially, for creating a Markdown link to the DEVONthink item, which I can then paste into Obsidian or an OmniFocus task – or wherever! Actually, what would REALLY be useful, is a version of that script that could streamline the process of being in Finder, selecting a particularly file, and being able to jump to the corresponding item in an indexed DEVONthink database. Any chance this script could be adapted for that?

Sounds like your best bet is Brett Terpstra's "Bunch" app, which is donation-ware, very powerful, and has an Alfread workflow integration, if you like: https://bunchapp.co

It seems as though the best option is baked in: System Preferences > General > Prefer tabs "always" when opening documents.

I've had problems with this too. It's been going on for months. It thought it was because I was on the Beta for Ulysses, but it should be working now, right? I've attached a screenshot of what I get as error message. Can't find any discussion of this. Help would be much appreciated, because I really rely on Ulysses for quick notes, and will do at least until Drafts 5 comes to the Mac…
