I agree, there are definitely improvements which can be made in this area, but I may leave this until a more major release (as there is the Workflows workaround at this point).
 
Other improvements would be the option to encode spaces as other characters such as - and _ which would give even more flexibility.

Ah thanks for spotting this - It used to work (with e.g. Open With) but looks like Yosemite doesn't include certain file metadata Alfred used for this anymore. I'm going to move this into bug reports and see what I can do...

If you update to 2.7.1, you will now be able to use cmd+o on a word when using the spell keyword and it will open in Dictionary

I've just taken a look at this as you should be able to use cmd+o to open the result in Dictionary.app but this appears to not be working as expected. I'll fix this so in the next release, you can use cmd+o on a spelling result to open the selected result (word) in Dictionary.

If all the applications are within your search scope, there could be an indexing issue. First thing to try is to reindex OS X from the shortcut in Alfred's Advanced preferences > "Rebuild OS X Metadata", then typing "reload" into Alfred. It may take up to an hour, but this should fix things!

Not directly, but in a workflow, you can add a "Copy to Clipboard" output object which you can essentially create snippets here and wire up like other workflow items. You can set this output to auto paste like snippets too.

There are workarounds for now, but osascript JavaScript mode will likely make it into the script selection choices in the future.

If you'd like those found by default, you'd have to drag them into the section under the [Advanced] button

This will more likely affect inconsistent latency, and for a tiny script like this, I would have it cache the complied AppleScript as it will only use a few more kb of memory.

Well another scenario I've discovered through some error and trial is to control a computer with an unresponsive keyboard and mouse.  I managed to get everything locked up and beachballing, ready to power down in desperation, but Alfred Remote was able to Quit All Apps.

I actually already have a note to consider adding installable "icon sets" into Alfred which would then be selectable in the image pickers, I think this would be a great addition
