    Thanks!

And thanks again for letting me know how to create it myself, that definitely helps understanding and appreciating Alfred more.

With the File Action. Or you can add a File Filter to search directly for files of that type, for example.

@DanP You can build it yourself without code. Look at the screenshot, it’s using a File Action Trigger → Automation Task → Automation Task → Open File Action.

DanP reacted to Vero in Alfred suddenly stopped searching OneDrive files - and existing advice hasn't helped.
@drjmcmillan Microsoft have just announced major changes to their products over the past few days, which is likely the source of your issue.

From Microsoft's own OneDrive announcement page's comments section:

"Spotlight can no longer index the folders, well maybe it will, but the ability to search has gone for the time being until, if, it sorts itself out. This is a major failing.”

As far as I can see, it may be as simple as adding ~/Library/CloudStorage to your search scope, so could you please try this?

[Edited to add: The issue you're linking to is a bug in macOS Monterey's Migration Assistant and is documented here. With the help of our wonderful community, we were able to establish what the issue was, and provide workaround solutions to the macOS bug.]

The scary Gatekeeper/Catalina warning ("might contain malware") is shown for unsigned/unnotarised binaries. It uses checksums, so downloading a binary you compiled yourself (or identical to one you compiled yourself) won't trigger a warning because it's already whitelisted.

    NightShift
Quickly turn on/off Night Shift or set it to a custom value between 0 - 100.

    Installation
To download, visit the latest release at GitHub. All further updates are handled automatically.
    Description
Quickly turn on/off Night Shift or set it to a value between 0-100. No more fiddling with deep settings when you either want to save your eyes or need to work with accurate colors!
In Alfred, type night followed by either off, on or a number between 0 - 100.

The workflow makes use of the following:
nshift by leberwurstsaft as the backend for setting the values. OneUpdater by vitorgalvao for handling automatic updates.

    Hey @shmulvad,

thanks for this! I was trying it out but got the message that "nshift" could not be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. I had to go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General, where I could allow nshift to be used. Now it's working like a charm!

DanP reacted to Vero in Open links from specific application in other browser
    @DanP Welcome to the forum

When you're clicking on a link in Outlook, macOS will just open it in your default browser, and Alfred plays no part in the interaction. Doesn't Outlook allow you to set the browser it should use? That would be the most direct way to do it.

If you wanted to use Alfred, you could create a hotkey workflow so that the link selected in macOS or copied to your clipboard is opened using a specified browser, but it'll require either selecting or copying the link.

To use Alfred as I described, create a workflow with a Hotkey where the argument is either "selection in macOS" or "Clipboard Contents", connected to an Open URL object, where you can specify which browser you want the query to be opened in.

I'll move this to Workflows Help & Questions, so if you need any help with your workflow, you can pop a reply in and get some workflow-relevant help.

    Cheers,
    Vero
