  1. This workflow sounds great, but I don't understand how to use it. Could someone explain?
  2. Sorry -- I realized that I hadn't really provided any useful information a little later! Anyway, I'm also having the issue with Python processes that people are talking about, and the temporary fix didn't seem to help, so I suppose I will just wait until there is an update to the workflow. EDIT: I just tried Fixum again and now my Pocket workflow works. So, thanks for that!
  3. Thanks for making this workflow -- I'm having a little trouble. No matter what I do, the workflow tells me that my Pocket list is empty. What am I doing wrong?
  4. Are you the Numi developer? I see that you are the developer. It's a great little app. I emailed you with some suggestions. I can't seem to get the Alfred workflow to work; I'm getting the error "Failed to connect to localhost port 15055: Connection refused."
  5. IMDb has a feature whereby you can find all of the projects that two people worked on together. I would love it if someone could put together an Alfred workflow that would allow me to do the same. I imagine it would have to look up each actor's "nmXXXXX" designation on IMDb and then put that into a URL to get to the search page. I wouldn't have any idea where to begin with this, but if anyone thinks they can tackle it, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
  6. Can't seem to get anything to happen when I enter the keyword.
  7. You would need to somehow look up the imdb "nmXXXXXXX" code for both names, and then put them through the search... I have no idea if/how this could be done. Thanks in advance.
  8. Just what it says in the title. I want to copy a file from Folder A to Folder B when I enter a keyword. Should i use an Automator action, or is there an easier way to do it? Thanks.
  9. Thanks for all the effort, but it still doesn't work for me. When I enter 'rdw' into Alfred now it opens two Finder tabs, one which goes to the desktop background image as it did before, and one that appears to go to the google images workflow wherever it lives in Finder.
  10. Thanks for trying, but it doesn't seem to work. It just opens up a workflow folder in Finder... Also, shouldn't it just be one workflow once it's combined? I was imagining something where I put in the keyword and it just takes me to the google images page for whatever my wallpaper is at the moment.
  11. Hi FroZen, I was thinking someone could just tell me how to combine the workflows. If it's easier for someone to do it themselves, here they are: https://app.box.com/s/aw3i57kbp7nyzkx3rud9vrxjxkc18feq -- Reveal Desktop Wallpaper https://app.box.com/s/hfwoidf0sap2oqjerj6ii3puhg46nci5 -- Google Images search Thanks.
  12. I have a workflow that finds my current wallpaper in Finder. I have another workflow that performs a Google image search on a selected file. I would like to combine the two. What's the best way to go about doing this? Cheers!
  13. Are there any workflows out there for reporting sports scores? Would it be possible for someone to create one? I'd do it, but I know nothing about scripts and APIs and stuff, and I think it would require knowledge above my level.
  14. Hi Vero, Thanks for a great app, and for responding to my question. I downloaded Layouts and tried looking through the script, but I can't decipher it. I know basically nothing about coding, etc. How can I use the Layouts script to do what I'm after?
  15. I know how to create a workflow to open applications A, B and C, but how do I make it so that their windows are arranged a specific way every time I run the workflow? Thanks for any help.
  16. Hi, I'm the sort of guy who gets totally lost when the terminal is open, but I've managed to figure out how to use it to change my .epub ebooks into .mobi ebooks so I can use them in my Kindle app. I open the terminal, drag a specific exec file to it, drag the .epub book I want to convert, hit enter and I have a brand new .mobi file. How can I get Alfred to do this for me? Can I do it from the actions panel, or should it be a hotkey? Thanks for any help.
  17. Would it be possible to create a workflow by which I could select a video file, press a key combination (or use file actions) and have that video added to VLC iOS via iTunes? I tried searching around, but the search engine won't accept "VLC" as a search term. Cheers!
  18. Well that last script seems like a huge step in the right direction. Thanks!
  19. Yes, that script accurately reported the name of the current desktop image.
  20. Haha thanks again for the effort. Glad we're making some headway. Let me know if you figure anything else out -- seems like this is way beyond my knowledge of computer stuff.
  21. Yes, it brought me right to the Applications folder and highlighted 'Calculator.'
  22. I do not have any of those things -- my folder is on my internal SSD. I don't have any other display than the laptop screen. I do sort of use spaces, but only because I keep a couple of my apps in full-screen. To set the image for my wallpaper, I created a folder which I call "Backgrounds." It's got about 500 pictures in it. Then, in System Preferences -- Desktop & Screensaver -- Desktop, I set it to pull images from that folder and change them in random order every 5 minutes.
  23. After following the instructions in your last reply, the script (and David's original workflow -- I tried both) brings me to Library/Desktop Pictures/Yosemite.jpg, even though the wallpaper is rotating through my customized images folder.
