  1. @deanishe No luck yet Even with "open" on the terminal, focus doesn't switch. So it's definitely a Sierra issue.
  2. @Andrew Like @deanishe said, it's an intermittent issue that happens more often than not - even when you try to open a URL in the same space as Safari. So it's not necessarily related to Spaces. I don't think it's related to any application in particular... I had Moom running, closed it, and still it did not solve the problem.
  3. Works like a charm, thank you @deanishe Very cool workflow, already part of my toolbox.

  5. This is probably not an Alfred bug and may be a Safari thing, but I wonder if you guys have any workarounds. Sometimes Safari does not get focus when sending a URL to it. For example, sometimes I enter a bookmark or URL in Alfred, expecting Safari to show up automatically - but I end up having to manually switch to it, which is kind of annoying and distracting. Does it happen to anyone else?
  6. Thank you, the plugin looks good! However, I'm getting an a "Runtime error: index out of range" when trying to run most of the actions. Do you have any clue what can it be? For Alfred, It would be cool if one could apply scripts or customizations to any URL (not only bookmarks). For example, for ad hoc URLs that you type out ad in alfred's prompt.

  8. It would be great if we could customize what "option + enter" or "control + enter" (or any modifier for the matter) do on a bookmark. Or even press tab to open a context menu where we could have custom actions. In my case, I wish I could send the URL to an AppleScript so that it opens in the current tab instead of on a new tab. I can see many other nice use cases for that.
  9. I've got that working with Keyboard Maestro For the impatient (who also use KM), here's how it's done: 1. Create a new Macro group and choose "Alfred 2" from "Available in the following applications". 2. Create a new macro called "Go up" 3. Choose the trigger ^k (ctrl + k) and change from "is pressed" to "is down" 4. Add a new action "Type a Keystroke" with ^p (ctrl + p) Done. Do the analogue procedure for "Go down". You can even add a shortcut for the return key, like ^l (l corresponds to right in vim) or ^m (just like in the terminal) using a similar procedure. Although that works pretty fine, a native feature is sure better.
  10. I've been trying Launchbar for the first time, and noticed it integrates well with OS X services. Things like "open selection in TextEdit" work very well with instant send, all with the keyboard. No need to right click or use the menu. Or even "send the text to Translate Tab", and many other useful services. I always wished that for Alfred. If it had that feature, workflows wouldn't need to duplicate the Mac's native feature, Services. And there are things services can do that workflows can't. I prefer Alfred, but my biggest itch is it doesn't have the ability to send text to a OS X service.
  11. I verified that Fn + up / down arrow actually works with the standard keyboard, but I prefer the the home row. Ctrl + Opt + n / Ctrl + Opt + p would be great! Another quick suggestion, I think there should be an option to exclude external results from the workflows. I set fuzzy mode back to "fuzzy capital letters", but I still can see a URL from the history which has "top" in it (top processes workflow). When I use the "ip" workflow, which tells me the local and remote ips, I see lots of results, and the workflow results mixed in between. An option like "only show the workflow results" would be great.
  12. Sometimes when you do a file search you get lots of results, so it would be useful if you could move 9 results up or down with one keystroke, instead of holding Ctrl + n or Ctrl + p, or holding the arrow keys. Feels more efficient. About "third party" results: consider the keyword "top". It shows me processes from the "Top Processes" workflow, but it also shows me "TextSoap" and other unwanted results. Sometimes I only want to see the workflow results, excluding the "third party" results - in that case TextSoap.
  13. 1. How to paginate between results? Ctrl + f and Ctrl + b are currently moving the cursor, so maybe another shortcut? 2. When using a workflow, how to exclude "third party" results?
  14. Updated the workflow with some essential bug fixes. Check it out here.
  15. A simple workflow to browse mounted Finder volumes. Type "vol" Return = Open the selected volume in Finder Option + Return = Eject the selected volume Command + Return = Eject all ejectable volumes Since I enjoy a clean desktop and I don't like to open Finder windows only to manage volumes, this is quite convenient. 16. Hi, I set up syncing on my primary Mac, but the button "Set Sync Folder" is disabled on my secondary Mac. It also says "Not Synced". What can I do to setup syncing on my other Mac?
  17. Yeah, I tried that same query before, but it didn't work for .httpclient extension, falling back to a Google search instead. So I thought the query was incorrect. Maybe a bug? In Spotlight, filename:.httpclient query works.
  18. I still haven't figured out how to do Spotlight-like searches, for example: filename:.caf (only files with caf extension) I know how to do this, but only with filters, etc. How to do it directly in the Alfred prompt?
  19. Great, so this is not a bug. I will disable the iTerm pref for more consistence Thanks
  20. Hi, I am experiencing a bug when copying text in iTerm 2. When I select some text and press "Cmd + c", it merges the text into the clipboard - but it should only merge when double tapping "c". In Terminal.app that doesn't happen, so I suppose that's a very specific bug and annoying bug (because I end up pasting undesirable text). I don't know wether it's a particular iTerm 2 setting that's causing a conflict. The bug is present in Alfred v1 too. I'm a heavy iTerm 2 user, so that is reason enough for me to disable the feature.
  21. Hi David Ferguson, Isn't it too much work setting up text expansions inside workflows? I prefer to use the clipboard snippets built-in feature: It works the same way, it's faster to create a snippet, it lets you set a keyword to do the expansion, and it has a separate keyboard shortcut - so your keywords don't conflict with the rest of the stuff, and you don't even need to set a prefix, like "," before the expansion. I only see the need for a workflow if there is some kind of processing involved, like settings arguments or so
  22. Thanks Andrew. P.S.: Great job, Alfred is even more mind-blowing.
  23. Greetings, I added /usr/local/Cellar to "Search Scope" in "Default Results", but no results are showing. This is the default folder for HomeBrew. The "macv" keyword should show MacVim.app in the results, but I get nothing.
