nadnosliw reacted to Norman Gray in Fallback file search isn't as successful as I'd expect
Aha! The 'in' command has somehow passed me by – some tunnel vision on my part – I realise I've been thinking of 'in' as effectively the default search type. I can _now_ see it's really quite prominent on the ‘file search’ panel....
It seems to be Option-return in my setup (which I don't recall having changed from the defaults), but I've found that, and it works.
Thanks x 2!

Hi @Norman Gray, welcome to the forum.
How are you trying to find the file in this case? The open and find searches only search by file name. You need to use in to search file content.
As a rule, you can use ^↩ on any result in Alfred to search for the current query in Spotlight.

Thanks! I don't have Developer Tools installed, but allowing individual workflows seems to have fixed the problem. It's great to finally see an Alfred workflow for Firefox! Much appreciated!

Like Safari Assistant, but for Firefox.
Download from GitHub.
Search Firefox bookmarks Search Firefox browsing history Run bookmarklets Activate & close tabs Add you own custom scripts
The workflow requires you to install a corresponding Firefox extension in order to communicate with Firefox.
After installing the workflow, run ffass > Install Firefox Extension to get the extension. Once the extension is installed, everything should just work.
The workflow is fairly customisable. You can add your own URL actions via scripts, set custom icons, and assign URL & tab actions and bookmarklets to alternate hotkeys.
See the documentation for details.

I've created a workflow to find and open Apple/iCloud notes in Notes.app. Get it on Packal and feel free to open issues/make pull requests on GitHub.
