  1. My Alfred version is:

    Alfred 3.6.1

    Build 910, Monday 9th April 2018

I am running Microsoft Office 2016.

I am using the canned workflow examples provided with Alfred; I am only adding in my variables at the application, folder and file levels of the scripts.

  2. When I am setting up my workflows, I get the popup "Click the + button in the top right of your workflow and choose Inputs" but there is no + button on the top right of my workflow window.  How do I introduce variables if I don't have the features described?  Should I reinstall Alfred?

  3. I am having trouble with the terminal command in my workflows.  I keep writing in variables before, after and replacing QUERY but every time I run the script, Alfred erases my input and repopulates the field with the original query and my workflow does not produce any results.

Can someone please help me with the syntax of the terminal command or tell me what I am doing wrong?

After days of futile attempts to run Alfred workflows by clicking on the terminal module, I finally figured out (on my own without the help of Alfred Technical Support) that I was supposed to right-click (secondary click) on the terminal command module or the hotkey to launch the workflow; it struck me right on the head that I had been blindly trying to launch workflows by clicking on the run script dialog box.  VOILA, I am now at a place where I can make more sense of the help files and tutorials on the Alfred website.
