  1. Ar you running the latest version? If I recall correctly that was a bug in an earlier version. (Repeated Keys After Using Auto-Complete At The Beginning Line [Fixed b86]) I can't replicate this on my setup. What are you using? OS version and Alfred 2 version? Cheers, PL
  2. Heh, nice test Carlos. Point 1: Workflow Data should exist. What version are you using? If I'm not mistaken, Workflow Data was introduced in b86 (or sooner). Point 2: Yeah, I don'r really use local mailboxes so I didn't foresee that, sorry about that. I'll have a look into fixing that soon. Cheers, PL
  3. Hey Carlos, Got it fixed, at least in my tests it's working ok. Update (download link above or via AlfPT) and let me know if you catch any other bugs. Cheers, PL
  4. You'll have to be a little more specific. Which mail app do you use? If it's Mail.app you could try David Ferguson's Search Mail.app Workflow.
  5. Tracked this down. Think it may be a bug in Alfred. I've already created a bug report so we'll have to wait and see. As soon as I get some feedback I'll update here. In the meantime I guess we'll just have to do it "the old fashioned way"
  6. Hey Carlos, Thanks for the info. I'm also seeing this with a few other folders. Strange thing is that it's with normal names even, such as "Other". I'll have a look into this later tonight and update with a fix once I've found it.
  7. It's still in the works. I'm writing in conjunction with Pierre Wizla (great guy ) He's in the Launchbar camp... and he's going to get his ass kicked! Workflows are the next best thing after sliced bread
  8. Nah man, hats off to phyllisstein for this one. I just made the rather simple extension for v1, this is way better
  9. This is very nice Carlos. Great for those that like the pomodoro technique. Just set a 25min timer then a 5min timer for a break. Rinse and repeat This little gem is also going to be in my Arlfred vs. Launchbar Article on Mac.AppStorm
  10. AWESOME. Very nice to know that. Always one step ahead of us eh
  11. You sir are on fire! Very nice, and PyAl is shaping up very nicely. Once I get some free time I'll update my workflows to use PyAl! Cheers, PL
  12. Also, may have found a bug mate. Summon Alfred, type touch test.txt then tab. It expands to the workflows bundle id.
  13. It would be awesome to have some sort of URL scheme so we could trigger workflows from other apps. 1. That way I could easily leverage apps such as Keyboard Maestro that let's me define keyboard shortcuts that only run in certain apps. That keyboard shortcut could then trigger a workflow in Alfred 2. Extensions could run in the background and then do some sort of callback to trigger additional actions, notifications etc. Just a wishful thought
  14. Nice... Almost perfect. So while I'm the feature request bandwagon here goes a few more suggestions. Implement only if you see fit of course Feedback, via growl so we now a path or filename was saved for future use; Feedback so we know a file was created, useful if you're not at the frontmost finder window Modifier to optionally open the file after creating it. This is an excellent alternative to scratch file or even nvALT, a thought pops into your mind, "touch cool-idea.txt at ..." then Byword or whatever opens for editing Some way to remove stored paths/filenames. Other than that, awesome, yet another great workflow for my collection.
  15. Thanks for the suggestion, but I'll be reworking this now that there is non-volatile storage for workflow data. That way you don't loose anything when updating the workflow. This will be stored in a plist with interface for adding and removing options. Much more flexible.
  16. Feature suggestion, something I had in one of my v1 extensions: Default locations for files when there is no finder window. That way you could easily create a new note and open it in your editor of choice, or create a new opml in an outlines folder etc. That still comes in handy so often for me
  17. Cool, I'm always happy when others find something I created to scratch an itch (pun intended) useful! And this port is beautifully done. No need to have multiple instances, of the workflow.. This is one workflow that is going to make it into my Alfred vs. Launchbar series on Mac.AppStorm Poor launchbar, it's gonna get it's ass kicked...
  18. Cool, saves me the trouble of porting my very simple Scratch File extension from v1 P.S. Love the wallpaper mate..
  19. Oops, Nice catch. Fixed and updated the first post and also uploaded to AlfPT (forgot to do it before) Cheers, PL
  20. For me, an ideal way of dealing with this would be to have an extra "action block" in the workflow. Imagine a block you can drag onto the workflow canvas and add any number of key:value pairs that would then be fed into the other blocks. Of course Andrew would have to weigh in on this with regards to complexity of such an implementation. Otherwise, it shouldn't be too hard to write, as CarlosNZ suggested, an AppleScript boilerplate for requesting some initial user input and saving this in a pliant,Jason, Xmas file in the workflow non-volatile directory.
  21. Sweet!! Thanks for the tip. I'll try and work that into the next version of App Store Linker this weekend.
  22. Check my workflow here: App Store Linker It's specific to apps, iOS and Mac. Needs improvements though, but hopefully this weekend I'll get some time to do those.
  23. Totallly...bloody...awesome. I've often thought about something similar (not the workflows but the functionality), just never had time to really dig in, so I'm with phyllistein on this one... Please enlighten the masses.
  24. Excellent. I didn't manage to bundle requests_cache either. I need to update my workflow with a few requested features and implement some sort of cache, not only for images but for all other results. As is, it's woefully slow.
