  1. This solution absolutely fixed the problem for me. Thank you for this tip! It was happening on the latest version of Alfred 5 (as of 3/20/2023). I was using Typinator, which is a FANTASTIC text expansion app, but I like having the feature in Alfred 5 just to have less apps on my Mac that only do one thing. Now if the devs can only simplify creating a popup list of snippets, rather than using a clumsy workflow! The workflow DOES work, but it has to be the most unintuitive setup of any feature in Alfred.
  2. Is it possible to create a multiple-choice snippet? So a list pops up and I can choose the snippet I want to expand? As a photographer, I have several different camera and lens combinations that I like to select from when posting info on a photo I upload to social media. I would like to trigger a popup menu to show the 4 different camera/lens combos that were used to add to the caption. Is this possible with the Snippets tab, or is there a workflow I can create that will allow me to do this? James Harris James Harris Photography www.jamesharrisphotography.com
  3. Yeah, I'm not looking at having to train Alfred. The feature I'd like should be a no-brainer. Trying to launch Firefox, I want to use "ff" to launch it. I haven't been able to get "ff" to even have Firefox show in the results to select it. Hopefully a developer will see this post and see the need. 🫤
  4. After first installing Alfred 5 last week, I typed the letter "S" to bring up Safari, but to my surprise, Safari wouldn't even show up until I typed "saf". It would be nice if the developer would include, in the preferences, a list of all the apps, and then be able to edit each app with a custom letter combo that could be saved. I don't think this would be too hard. This would make the initial setup so much easier than the current training method.
  5. I just moved from LaunchBar to Alfred 5. Launchbar had one feature that I loved, but can't find out how to do it in Alfred. In Launchbar I could assign custom characters to have an app show up and be able to launch it. For instance, I would type a "p" to have Apple Photos, and the a "ph" to have Adobe Photoshop. These were custom and could be changed to any letter combos in Launchbar, but this critical feature is missing in Alfred. Is there a way to do this?
  6. I have this same problem too. The training is a pain sometimes. Will there be a feature in a future update (4?) that will let you actually edit each app with a custom letter or letters? LaunchBar lets you choose the letter combo for each app, but LaunchBar is a little too plain for my tastes.
