  1. And thats all it took. I figured it out.. I set the argument {Date}, passed as input argument, then on the file I changed the filename to {var:date}
  2. Thanks @vitor. I appreciate the reply, and I did find this post but man I am lost when it comes to getting it to work. When I put the variable in line with my flow it only passes the date to the file, and doesnt update the name. I tried to add it as its own item going into the file and it doesnt do anything either. Ive tried to find more examples.
  3. I feel pretty stupid for having to ask this... I have a workflow that runs a bash script, writes the output to a text file. But on the Output>write to file. How can I put todays date in the filename field?
  4. Wow, I totally missed that. Thank you very much now I have to correct some other scripts.
  5. I want to be able to get information from my servers. I have a workflow setup that already runs ssh, runs a command and exits. How do i capture the data to use it in a notification or such? I have tried reading the help and looked at others scripts but dont see anything related to the terminal. Can anyone point me in the right direction? The text will always have the same text at the beginning but different answer like diskspace or random url
