  1. Hello, The description of the "Open Apps" task says "Quit passed-in and configured apps" (see attached image) in the "Tasks 2023.9" version. Thank you.
  2. Thank you. For now, I've made my own workflow based on a different workflow fragment (Love Alfred Workflows), that returns all bookmarks as a JSON and lets Alfred do the search result ranking. That is blazing fast.
  3. According to Wikipedia: In November 2020, Brave reported having 20 million monthly users, and in September 2021, it passed 36 million monthly active users. @Vero, are there numbers large enough for native Brave integration implementation in Alfred?
  4. My apologies for the confusion. The search scope is the one generated by "Reset... > Reset to Applications and Home": I thought it was odd to see "~" in the search scope and still need to check "Folders in Home" to exclude "~/Library" from the search. Removing "~" from the search scope fixed my use case. Thank you. Since I had no idea why I was still seeing results from the "~/Library" I Googled and found, that adding the "alfred:ignore" tag to a folder/file would exclude it from the search scope. That had no effect on the "~/Library" folder but was working for other folders/files.
  5. Hello, The "[x] Folders in Home - Excluding ~/Library" checkbox under "Features > Default Results" doesn't actually exclude results from the "~/Library" folder. Maybe the usage of the "alfred:ignore" tags, set by https://alfred.app/workflows/alfredapp/ignore-in-alfred/ universal action no longer works. Alfred version: Alfred 5.1.2 Build 2145, Wednesday 2nd August 2023 OS version: macOS Ventura 13.5.1 P.S. This might have worked correctly on macOS Mojave 10.14.6, which I had installed before upgrading to the macOS Ventura 13.5.1. Thank you.
  6. @qohelet, That was exactly what I needed. Now the problem is solved. Wasn't a problem with Alfred after all. Now I've changed Alfred search settings back to home folder and everything works again.
  7. @qohelet, also please answer this: what macOS version do you have (mine is macOS Ventura 13.5.1)? what Mac model do you have (mine is MacBookPro10,1)? you can detect it by running system_profiler SPHardwareDataType | grep 'Model Identifier' command in the Terminal; have you installed macOS natively or using Open Core Legacy Patcher (or similar) means? Thank you.
  8. @qohelet, Do you also have a direct search problem in Finder, as above described? Maybe it's a bug in macOS Ventura because searching for any file in a Finder produces no results. When I reset the search scope to "This Mac", then I see results.

  10. I'm using Trickster app for tracking recently opened files. Then via Trickster workflow I can see them in the Alfred. For me "Recent Items" workflow never worked in Alfred 4.
  11. Hi, I have this text shown in text editor (note empty line after): JRA-123 - Task Title and some https://www.example.com/dynamic URL in clipboard and I want to combine them into this, that will replace original text in editor: Fixes JRA-123 - Task Title Differential Revision: https://www.example.com/dynamic and I want to use "Snippet Trigger" for that with "fx" keyword so that I've type "fx" in any editor place and replacement happens. I've faced couple of problems so far: sending "Command+A" shortcut to the text editor via "Output > Dispatch Key Combo" can't be done as workflow action (in the middle) - I've tried to select text and immediately use selection inside Alfred capturing selected text can only be done via "Triggers > Hotkey" and it can't be used as workflow action (in the middle) as well - I've tried to capture what should be selected above Thanks.
  12. Thanks @deanishe, that is exactly what I needed. It seems that there is no "type" attribute value that works the same as if "type" attribute of the <icon> tag isn't specified. I was using https://www.alfredapp.com/help/workflows/inputs/script-filter/xml/ for documentation.
  13. I've contacted Trickster developers as well. Waiting for their answer. But from Alfred workflow side: what file types are allowed to be used as extensions in "Script Filter" feedback results? is there a way to convert PDF into PNG on the fly?
  14. In above code the "fileicon" results in PDF file type icon being shown in Alfred results. If I change "fileicon" into "filetype" or completely remove "type" attribute from "icon" node I'll get this (see the broken icon):
  15. Here is the workflow: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mbpgja97bsfvy37/Get latest files from Trickster.alfredworkflow?dl=0 Relevant script filter looks like this (see attached).
  16. Hi, I'm trying to get filters out of the "Trickster" app via AppleScript. For unknown reasons filter icons in Trickster are PDF and not PNG files. When attempting to build script filter feedback from them I see broken image icons instead (blank square icon). Not sure how to fix this. Thank you.
  17. Hi, How to get currently running processes (including/excluding background ones) within the workflow? I've noticed, when I type "hide" keyword inside Alfred it shows running processes instantly. I have no idea how it does that. I've tried using this command (from "Running" workflow), but it takes 2 seconds to get me the list: osascript -e 'tell application "System Events" to get the file of every process whose background only is false'
  18. The "rec4.jpg" file in initial post is missing so I have no idea how to use workflow. I've tried typing "rec fol" (or "fol" directly) to see recent folders I've used in the Finder, but it looks like Alfred is showing usual search results. The workflow is enabled, because typing "rec" is showing "Recent Items Preferences" entry with "Keyword: recpref" text below it. Workflow version: 4.2 Alfred version: 4.0.4 build 1111 OS: macOS 10.14.6
  19. I've noticed wrong URL in workflow properties. Instead you can use GitHub project URL: https://github.com/BenziAhamed/Menu-Bar-Search .
