The latter. I'd like, with the web search option to specify which browser the web results should be opened in. Context - I use different browsers for work and personal use, so am limited to using Alfred just for work.

I was thinking more of the general "Web Search" options, rather than creating custom workflows for each. It sounds as if this isn't something you support, though.

So, I'm running both Chrome and Firefox - one for work and one for personal. However, I use Alfred for both. As all web shortcuts are directed to the default browser, this causes me issues. Is there a way to direct such shortcuts to a specific browser?
