    Oh, I see, didn't know that. Should I then leave all the ticks in settings active? Or does it just change the results and not the indexing behavior?

    Hi all! This is my first post on the forum as the new Alfred user. Since I made a switch from Spotlight I wanted to disable the Spotlight indexing to save the energy and some disc space. To this end I went to Spotlight settings -> Privacy -> Added whole disk to remove the whole cache -> Removed it from selection (as described here https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201716) -> Went back to 'Search results' tab -> Unchecked all But still after the last MacOS update I could see high energy usage of Spotlight. Are there any recommended steps to disab
