thanks for response Vero. I did as you suggest and the trouble shooting failed ie files are not indexed (see below). However the drive they are on HAS been added to Alfreds Search , its HAFIZSSDX/Pictures where my Iphotos library lives. So it should have been indexed? the error seems to be to do with the metadata...
