This area isn't quite finished in Alfred 2 - try right clicking in the hotkey input field and selecting the "fastest" option in 'Trigger behaviour'. This should make things instant

In theme window head your mouse cursor into the corner and press ⌘ - you'll be able to increase corner radius. Pressing additional ⇧ key (so you will hold ⇧ and ⌘) you can decrease radius.
