  1. For some reason I can't post to add this to the Workflow Gallery, so I'll share it here for now. I re-wrote the Transmit workflow into straight AppleScript instead of needing Python 2. This was the only remaining workflow I had that hadn't been converted, and I really didn't want to install Python 2 on my fresh install of macOS. https://github.com/kennonb/alfred-workflow-transmit It should work pretty much the same way as the prior workflow. Type `ftp` to show a list of servers saved in Transmit. Then you can press `Enter` or `CMD+Enter` to open the server in Transmit.

Interesting. This is what I get when I hit that same URL. I hadn't ever thought about regional responses, but it appears like Bing gives different responses to different regions via that API. I'm going to check for the existence of description, and title, and default to the date and/or copyright if it doesn't exist. You can try the new version via GitHub now. { "images": [ { "startdate": "20230417", "fullstartdate": "202304170700", "enddate": "20230418", "url": "/th?id=OHR.OneThousandSprings_EN-US8092648404_UHD.jpg&rf=LaDigue_UHD.jpg&pid=hp&w=3840&h=1080&rs=1&c=4", "urlbase": "/th?id=OHR.OneThousandSprings_EN-US8092648404", "copyright": "'One Thousand Springs' haiku art installation by Chiharu Shiota, Kew Royal Botanic Gardens, London, England (© Guy Bell/Alamy Live News)", "copyrightlink": "/search?q=royal+botanic+gardens+kew&form=hpcapt&filters=HpDate%3a%2220230417_0700%22", "title": "Poetry in suspense", "caption": "International Haiku Poetry Day", "copyrightonly": "© Guy Bell/Alamy Live News", "desc": "Get out your pen and paper—it's International Haiku Poetry Day! Ok I just installed a completely fresh install of Ventura using Parallels. - Downloaded macOS 13 install image & installed through Parallels Desktop v18.2 - Installed Parallels Tools - Installed Alfred from website download - Installed Homebrew from instructions on https://brew.sh - Installed php with `brew install php` - Downloaded Bing workflow from GitHub - Installed workflow - Init Alfred and typed `bing` I received no errors and everything worked as expected. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I'm definitely at the end of my ability to test now. If you have any other ideas let me know, otherwise I guess I'll just let this one go.

I finally got around to creating a new profile, and installing this workflow. This is what I did. - Create new standard user profile - Install Alfred 5 from download - Input power pack license - Download workflow from Github - Install workflow - Init Alfred, and type "bing" Everything just worked. 😕 I'm not sure how else to test this. Maybe in a VM?

Ok. Very odd. I'll try on a new profile on my machine when I get a chance.

👍🏻 1. I've modified that conditional. 2. I've updated the default value for `wallpaperFolder` to `~/Pictures` since that's the default for macOS (I believe, at least it is for me). 3. I added data caching that should automatically invalidate the API data every 2 hours after the initial cache. I can't reproduce that error though. I'm not sure why you'd be getting that. It seems to work just fine for me no matter what I do. 😕 I tried to remove the whole workflow and re-import from scratch and it was still working. Anything else you can think of that I can try to see what you're seeing? What version of everything are you running? I'm on: - PHP 8.2.1 - macOS Ventura 13.2.1 - Macbook Pro 14" M1 I've published the changes so far to GitHub.
  7. Author: I am the author of this workflow. Repository: https://github.com/kennonb/alfred-workflow-bing-wallpaper Dependencies: - PHP Description: This workflow shows the latest 8 wallpapers from Bing Wallpaper. Type bing into Alfred (without any arguments), and it will show you the list of current wallpapers. Then it allows you to: Press Enter to download the wallpaper and set it as your desktop image. Press CMD+Enter to view the wallpaper in your browser. Press Shift, or CMD+Y, to quicklook the image at a reduced resolution. Before you use the workflow you will need to make sure you have PHP installed on your local system. The easiest way is through Homebrew. brew install php Then you will need to configure the path to where you want the wallpapers to be stored on your computer.
  8. So the simplest solution here is to use their URL scheme. If you create a Custom Web Search, you can input this URL and search easily that way. things:///search?query={query} That icon is from Gavin Nelson: https://gnelson.gumroad.com/l/things-icon How it looks in practice: https://share.cleanshot.com/Y5C3XqmK
  9. Thanks for the great workflow Vítor. I sent you a pull request with Webkit and Chrome Canary support, as I use those as my primary browsers.
  10. A thought... Is there a URL scheme, or something, that you could tie into so if you hit ENTER it goes to the web plugin, but if you hit CMD+ENTER it goes to the app with the search pre-filled and you can copy there by hitting CMD+OPT+C? It's more work than what jorbsd proposed, but keeps you secure.
  11. I had 19 custom searches and they all came across perfectly. Wonderful idea!
  12. Thanks. This is great. I've been wanting to make something like this for a little while now.
  13. Ditto. I just ran into this issue this past week as I've been waiting until I could get decent Dropbox and Droplr workflows in place before switching.
  14. Ah, that makes sense. Hopefully it's just a bug, but your workflow is a good workaround.
  15. Just adding that I also have this issue. I hadn't worked on anything in the simulator yet since installing v2, and just noticed this issue today. I have both paths (the default: /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Applications & /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer....) and the iPhone/iOS Simulator isn't showing up. Other apps do show though, like Instruments and FileMerge.
  16. No problem. It was just something quick. I'll see if I can find some more information about doing what you want too.
  17. Very basic. Usage: -- srv smb://ServerName -- srv afp://ServerName http://d.pr/f/ITMw
  18. It looks like it's an encoding issue on my end. I have a few bookmarks with odd characters (imported by Safari from when I joined Pinboard), and it's choking on those (dashes and >> primarily). Once I got rid of the problematic characters everything started functioning fine. EDIT: Did some investigating and it's the htmlentities() call that's the issue. It's causing certain characters to just go wrong. However, removing that causes the above error from "dansherman" to come back. I know this isn't the right way, but I added "error_reporting(0);" and removed the htmlentities() around title and description, and that seems to be ok. It has a few character issues, but I'm getting all my bookmarks returned.
  19. This is actually how I thought workflows would work when I first opened v2. Here's hoping that this is on the roadmap, as I think it'd be a super addition.
  20. It appears like it should accept tags as well as titles, descriptions, etc... Is that true? Currently tags don't seem to display any results.
  21. Hey, I wanted to create a workflow that would allow me to see all of my project files in a single directory. Similar to how CMD+CTRL+P works in Sublime Text 2. I also wanted to be able to search through those items. So I borrowed the core of the "Google Auto Complete" workflow from David Ferguson (A Few Alfred 2 Workflows to Get You Started), and repurposed it for my needs. I'm not great at PHP, so I'm betting that there might be a better way. I also like the idea of bucketing apps into workflows, so I also included the work done by phillistein (http://www.alfredforum.com/index.php?/topic/39-open-in-sublime-and-search-sublime-projects/). There's one variable you'll have to modify for your system. That's the dir that it uses to display all .sublime-project files. Inside, you'll see a "proj" script filter. Open that and change the $dir variable to a local path on your system. v1.0: http://d.pr/f/qvZM *NOTE: I'd like to add the ability to recursively search through the filesystem, so you could just start at your home directory.
