  1. I created a workflow based on the above info but I must be missing something as it's not working. This is how I have it: When I provide a URL to validate and hit Return, nothing happens. workflow: http://cl.ly/0T0R141k2v1g
  2. My primary browser is Firefox and I currently use "Web Developer" add-on to validate CSS or HTML of the current webpage. Sample URL structure: Validate CSS: http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?profile=css21&warning=0&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.co.in%2F Validate HTML: http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.co.in%2F It would be very handy to just bring up Alfred and start typing 'v a l i d a t e' and be presented with two opitons: 1) CSS 2) HTML and then the selecting an option would send the current webpage URL to corresponding validator site. Thanks in advance.
  3. Perhaps you already know this....with the image selected, press cmd + I and look in More info section.
  4. aaaaaaaa I got it. I was thinking that the workflow would search Chrome bookmark names, it is the actual URLs that are searched and shown!! The original workflow works fine now that I know this.
  5. I added it only now: I have a bookmark named Readability. I bring up Alfred, type reada and select the option to search Chrome bookmarks, and do not see the bookmark. Any idea what I am doing wrong?
  6. I am trying this but it's not working for me. When I type the name of a Chrome bookmark, it doesn't come up in Alfred. Any ideas?
  7. You might be already aware of this, but passing it along just in case.. http://www.alfredforum.com/topic/1618-pocket-workflow-with-oauth-login/
  8. I just press 'ga' and hit Enter to open Gas Mask and edit hosts file. You can very well set a custom keyword like 'hosts' to open that app if you think that app name is not easy enough to remember by creating a workflow. Here is my little workflow that launches 'Gas Mask' app (if present, of course) using the hosts keyword: http://cl.ly/0T2L2s3n0L2R
  9. and then there is also http://www.alfredforum.com/topic/997-kill-process-workflow/
  10. Is it possible to set it to use fuzzy search for file and folder names? Ex.: Say I have a folder named builder-block-restaurant in my Downloads folder. Presently the only way to reach to it is (correct me if there is a more efficient way): 1) Bring up Alfred 2) Press Space 3) type 'd o ..' 4) Press right arrow (I have set it to drill down in Alfred's prefs) 5) Type b u i l d e r - b l ... Ideally I would just bring up Alfred, type r e s t.. and I should see that builder-block-restaurant folder in the results. Possible?
  11. Thank you. I was not aware of this app. What a beauty! I wonder if it's possible to show folders in its search results..
  12. Thanks. Ticking "Show these keywords in Alfred Default Results" was exactly what I wanted.
  13. Is there a workflow that I can use to type 'next' and 'previous' to go to next and previous track when a song is playing in iTunes?
  14. Got this reply from the developer: https://twitter.com/shortcatapp/status/320657301834960896
  15. Shortcat specific question: If there are two matches, how do I switch to the 2nd one? Tried 'tab' but isn't working.
  16. I would like to move "Send URL to Firefox" as the first option in the list when I type "url" keyword. Can someone kindly advise? Never mind. I just found this awesomeness.
  17. I also made one for myself yesterday using the code given by nguyen here. keyword: incognito Download: Link.
  18. In my opinion, if you are uninstalling TextExpander because of Alfred, either you have a very less number of abbreviations to expand or you have a lot of time setting them up in Alfred. Alfred does not replace TextExpander, especially if you use TextExpander heavily.
  19. Is it possible to add a option to send the URL to last active window? Ex.: say I am chatting in Skype and want to copy a specific URL, I navigate to the webpage, copy its URL, press cmd+tab to switch to Skype, and then finally paste. Instead if there's a option in this workflow that says something like "Send URL to Last Window", it will make life easier. Thanks in advance.
  20. Thanks. http://www.alfredforum.com/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=search&fromMainBar=1&search_term={query} is working.
  21. I did a search for query in this forum and the generated URL is: http://www.alfredforum.com/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=search&fromMainBar=1 As can be seen, it does not contain the search string, query in this case. So what is the Search URL that I can use to search this forum using Alfred when adding a custom search? Help is appreciated.
