  1. This is such a great workflow, vitor. Thanks for making such great stuff. I'm now using it for Slicereader. A couple of years ago I wasn't able to get it to work, but the updated workflow makes it magically work. Now, when I want to read an article online, all I have to do is trigger Alfred, type 'read', then Slicereader opens and I can concentrate and read. Now I just wish Slicereader imported GIFs in addition to text/images.

    Added some code to the AppleScript and a ‘Post Notification’ step to Dan's great workflow so it now triggers a notification in the Notification Center with the task name that the new OmniFocus task was created. I have set it up with 'command-N' as the Hotkey.

    You can download the updated workflow here:

    Is there a new link? That link appears to be dead. Looks like a great workflow!

  3. I have the same problem. It would be cool if you could type a shortcut and all of your Alfred workflow keywords would be displayed in some kind of a fullscreen overlay. Similar to how in Trello you type "?" and a list of all available keywords pop up. Of course, I have way more workflows than there are shortcuts in Trello, so the overlay would have to be bigger than a single column list.

    Which of your custom web searches do you find most useful?

    Edited to conform w/ deanishe's good recommendation. To make everything easier to borrow, look up your customized search in Alfred Preferences and click "Copy URL for sharing", then click the code tag in the editor (<>) to make the URL look nicer.

  5. I'm already using a workflow that lets me toggle Bluetooth completely on or off.

    Are there any workflows that allow you to toggle on/off _specific devices_ you have in your Bluetooth dropdown? For example, I'd like to be able to connect my headphones specifically without having to manually do it (with the mouse). Does this workflow exist?

  6. Thanks for making this very extensive workflow. I can imagine the amount of work that has gone into it.

    I can't seem to get YouTube downloads to work. I've updated the workflow and YouTube-DL, and I can download SoundCloud files. For YouTube download attempts, I get the notification that the download is starting. Immediately after that I get another notification that says the download has finished (with no trace of the file on my hard drive). Any ideas what might be going on?

  7. Just trying out this workflow. Oddly enough, it works perfectly for synonyms, but when I type ant followed by a space, then the word, it won't produce results and offers to search for the term on Google/Amazon/Wikipedia. Here is the output from the debugger, unfortunately I have no idea what it means.

    Starting debug for 'SynAnt'

  8. Hey David,

    The synonyms workflow is not doing it for me. I type in the keyword and it looks good. Then I press space and start writing a word ("happy" for example). Instead of giving me synonyms I only get the option of searching for "synonyms happy" on google and the other searches I have there...

    I'm having the same issue. I've applied for an API key, but I don't think that's the issue.

  9. Love it. It would be cool if there was a way to close multiple tabs in the same pass. A tab can be closed now by entering the keyword and pressing option, then enter. But, to close more tabs, Alfred has to be reactivated and the keyword entered once again. It would be sweet, perhaps impossible, if tabs could be added to the buffer with the option to close every tab in the buffer?

  10. Thanks for this workflow, Vitor. Definitely one of my favorites. So far, I'm using it for squirt.io and Instapaper. I'd like to use it for Slicereader, but it doesn't seem to activate Slicereader when I try to run it. Here is what the Slicereader bookmarklet looks like:

    javascript:(function%20()%20{var%20selectedText%20=%20'',title%20=%20document.title,uri%20=%20window.location.href;if%20(window.getSelection)%20{selectedText%20=%20window.getSelection().toString();}%20else%20if%20(document.getSelection)%20{selectedText%20=%20document.getSelection().toString();}%20else%20if%20(document.selection)%20{selectedText%20=%20document.selection.createRange().text;}if%20(selectedText)%20{selectedText%20=%20selectedText.replace(/(\r\n|\n+\r)/g,%20'\n');window.location.href%20=%20['slicereader://read?txt=',%20encodeURIComponent(selectedText),%20'&title=',%20encodeURIComponent(title),%20'&url=',%20encodeURIComponent(uri)].join('');}%20else%20{window.location.href%20=%20['slicereader://read?url=',%20encodeURIComponent(uri),%20'&title=',%20encodeURIComponent(title)].join('');}})();

    And here is what it looks like after I run your cleaning script:

    javascript:(function () {var selectedText = '',title = document.title,uri = window.location.href;if (window.getSelection) {selectedText = window.getSelection().toString();} else if (document.getSelection) {selectedText = document.getSelection().toString();} else if (document.selection) {selectedText = document.selection.createRange().text;}if (selectedText) {selectedText = selectedText.replace(/(\r\n|\n+\r)/g, '\n');window.location.href = ['slicereader://read?txt=', encodeURIComponent(selectedText), '&title=', encodeURIComponent(title), '&url=', encodeURIComponent(uri)].join('');} else {window.location.href = ['slicereader://read?url=', encodeURIComponent(uri), '&title=', encodeURIComponent(title)].join('');}})();

    But, when I type in my keyword and press return, nothing happens (Slicereader would normally open up with the tab I run the bookmarklet in). Any ideas? I've tried deleting "javascript:" and even not cleaning it, but nothing seems to work for either browser.
