  1. That seems to have worked. Why is that different from the normal reindex? I will keep using Alfred and evaluate the performance.
  2. I am having this same problem and have tried all of the fixes here. I tried completely resetting Alfred per this page too: http://support.alfredapp.com/kb:reset-alfred I used the Advanced section to clear the application cache AND tried rebuilding spotlight. When I type any application into spotlight search it is found immediately. But Alfred takes up to 30 seconds to find a match, if it finds one at all. It's like it doesn't have an application cache. At one point it would find an application after several seconds, and then it could find it again quickly. But after clearing the application cache I can't find any. Perhaps I need a way to force the application cache to update/rebuild, not just clear? I used the metadata tool on iTunes, just one of many apps alfred isn't finding but is found in spotlight. Here are the results. Please help! Alfred works great on my other computers but this one for some reason it is uselessly slow! /Applications/iTunes.app Internal File Metadata ====================== Display Name: iTunes Alt Names: iT, iTunes.app File Type: com.apple.application-bundle Comments: Keywords: Last Used: 2014-04-14 05:46:55 +0000 Raw mdls File Metadata ====================== kMDItemAlternateNames = ( iT, "iTunes.app" ) kMDItemAppStoreCategory = "Music" kMDItemAppStoreCategoryType = "public.app-category.music" kMDItemCFBundleIdentifier = "com.apple.iTunes" kMDItemContentCreationDate = 2012-06-08 01:52:50 +0000 kMDItemContentModificationDate = 2014-02-27 00:15:51 +0000 kMDItemContentType = "com.apple.application-bundle" kMDItemContentTypeTree = ( "com.apple.application-bundle", "com.apple.application", "public.executable", "com.apple.localizable-name-bundle", "com.apple.bundle", "public.directory", "public.item", "com.apple.package" ) kMDItemDateAdded = 2014-02-07 00:05:07 +0000 kMDItemDisplayName = "iTunes" kMDItemExecutableArchitectures = ( "x86_64", i386 ) kMDItemFSContentChangeDate = 2014-02-27 00:15:51 +0000 kMDItemFSCreationDate = 2012-06-08 01:52:50 +0000 kMDItemFSCreatorCode = "" kMDItemFSFinderFlags = 0 kMDItemFSHasCustomIcon = (null) kMDItemFSInvisible = 0 kMDItemFSIsExtensionHidden = 1 kMDItemFSIsStationery = (null) kMDItemFSLabel = 0 kMDItemFSName = "iTunes.app" kMDItemFSNodeCount = 1 kMDItemFSOwnerGroupID = 0 kMDItemFSOwnerUserID = 0 kMDItemFSSize = 325751335 kMDItemFSTypeCode = "" kMDItemKind = "Application" kMDItemLanguages = ( ar, ca, cs, da, Dutch, el, "en_GB", English, fi, French, German, he, hr, hu, id, Italian, Japanese, ko, ms, no, pl, pt, "pt_PT", ro, ru, sk, Spanish, sv, th, tr, uk, vi, "zh_CN", "zh_TW" ) kMDItemLastUsedDate = 2014-04-14 05:46:55 +0000 kMDItemLogicalSize = 325751335 kMDItemPhysicalSize = 346226688 kMDItemUseCount = 2 kMDItemUsedDates = ( "2014-04-13 07:00:00 +0000" ) kMDItemVersion = "11.1.5"
  3. I'm having this same issue. I have rebuilt the meta data and cleared the app cache using the alfred advanced preferences. My applications show up fine in spotlight but may/most do not appear when I search in Alfred. HELP!
  4. Right now I find myself frequently opening 1password, searching for a particular site/bookmark to edit and either copying the password manually or editing it to change the password for greater security. What I want to do with Alfred it type/search for my bookmark in 1password much as I do with the integration the way it is now. But instead of pressing return to open and login that bookmark, I press something like shift return or whatever, to open it in 1password where can work with it. This is something I do A LOT and it would be really nice to integrate with alfred somehow. Can this be done? Does anyone know of workflow method for this?
  5. I fixed my problem by removing the symbolic link to Library and moving the actual folder into my home folder. Things seem fine now so I guess I'm all good...
  6. I'm also noticing some issue with TCCD being blocked by sandboxd in my console log. This could be a bug with apple... 4/12/13 4:14:30.680 AM tccd[1220]: Failed to create /Volumes/Reactor/Users/gestes/Library/Application Support/com.apple.TCC (1) 4/12/13 4:14:30.699 AM sandboxd[1221]: ([1220]) tccd(1220) deny file-write-create /Users/gestes/Library/Application Support/com.apple.TCC
  7. Oh, and my contacts are in iCloud.
  8. I should also say that my home folder is not on my boot volume. I do have my entire library in the standard location '/Users/user/Library' and everything is in there as it should be. Because I'm using an SSD for boot and an HDD for storage my home folder is on another volume '/Volumes/vname/Users/username' and there is a symbolic link in there named Library pointing back to the standard location. This seems to always work just fine, work with alfred V1, but maybe it's tripping things up now?
  9. I've got this same problem and I notice that when I look at my privacy in System Preferences there is nothing listed. Could this be a bug in 10.8.3? The preference pane is behaving oddly and slowly, almost freezes. Also, Alfred is never requesting contact access...
