@zkarj A little tip to follow on from Stephen's suggestion - Type "reload" into Alfred once you've added the alfred:ignore so that Alfred's app cache is refreshed instantly
 
Another way to exclude apps is to drag them into Spotlight's Privacy tab. Again, type "reload" into Alfred if the app still appears in your results after adding it.

You should be able to add an alfred:ignore tag to the relevant files (by doing a Get Info) on them.

I've had El Capitan on a machine since the first beta. Alfred has worked flawlessly on it all the way through. I will say however, GM isn't ALWAYS the last release. That being said, I believe the release date for El Capitan was determined to be next week (based on the little easter egg in the keynote).  I'd probably recommend waiting until then to do the install unless you're just really wanting it.

I've been a huge fan of Bart Busschots' xkpasswd.net password generating web site and now I've used his Perl library to create an Alfred Workflow that generates passwords straight to the clipboard.
