I really appreciate that there are still users using this workflow. However, the organization and maintainability of this workflow is very poor. Due to my school and my work, I haven't had much time to work on a rewrite. My plan is to completely rewrite the code this summer to increase the speed and maintainability of Luxinate.
 
I've posted a quick change to the workflow to fix your problem.

The current version of Luxinate (ver7) is kind of spotty when it comes to handling the LuxPlaylist and LuxUser options.
Due to recent updates to youtube-dl, there are now options in youtube-dl that can help Luxinate handle these kinds of requests much easier.
 
I've been working on Luxinate v8 for a little while now; this new version should handle many of the recent issues.
Since v8 relies mainly on the new version of The Alfred Bundler (which is currently in development) to handle utilities and icons, Luxinate v8 should be much cleaner and run much smoother than the previous versions of Luxinate.
 
Until I can release Luxinate v8, the LuxUser option may be failing due to the recent options added to youtube-dl.
The best way to download these videos now would be to run youtube-dl from the command line.
 
cd /Users/mattkneale/Desktop/YouTube\ downloads/;/Users/mattkneale/Library/Application\ Support/Alfred\ 2/Alfred.alfredpreferences/workflows/user.workflow.ACFE790C-B8A8-48DB-972D-3A57969BFB51/Resources/youtube-dl https://www.youtube.com/user/ernell42
 
You can try running the above command into Terminal.app for a makeshift way to download the user's videos to your download's folder, although, this isn't guaranteed to work.

During development of cocoaDialog wrappers I overlooked adding automatic user permissions. I'll make sure to fix that in the next update

The available version should still work fine. I've been working for about 2 weeks on a full rewrite and have been playing with some big improvements. So be looking for the next version of Luxinate in the next week or so!

SO after v5.2.0 I'm curious how to switch between the different icon sets? Can't seem to find my way to switch to white icons now =)

So for example:
If I wanted to set my downloads to be saved to the path "/Users/ritashugisha/Desktop/LuxinateDownloads/"  I would modify line 45 to the following:

As for your idea with action filters, I have made plans to create an advanced downloading process in the next update.
 
youtube-dl's options are vast but limited at the same time. Post processing options as well as authentication options I tend to stay away from.
Using FFMPEG the way I need it to be used is much faster and effective than using youtube-dl's built in post processing.

Description

SCRIPT FILTERS
The script filters in OmniTube include:
YouFeed lists all of your subscription's recent uploads. YouProfile shows basic information about your account and gives you access to your playlists. YouPopular lists the most popular videos of today. YouHistory shows your recent video views. YouVideo, YouChannel, an YouPlaylist allows you to search all of YouTube. By using the keyword you in Alfred the following results appear.

 
When you use YouFeed OmniTube will quickly download the required user thumbnails and display your subscription's most recent uploads.


The YouProfile command will give you a general overview of your YouTube account as well as allow you to view and edit any of your playlists.


YouPopular will list out the most interesting videos posted that day.


By using the YouHistory option, you can either view your recent video views or clear your history completely.

 

ACTION MODIFIERS

There are many default action modifiers within OmniTube.
 
CTRL will usually allow you to add or remove a video to or from your Watch Later playlist. ALT will usually allow you to add or remove a video to or from your Favorites playlist. CMD will give you downloading options according to the highlighted selection. FN will copy the URL of the highlighted selection. SHIFT will allow you to save the video to a specific playlist on your account.

Update 4.1.1
 
Luxinate has updated to the new YouTube-dl which required a complete rewrite
 
After many hours of laborious coding, I've managed to add a new user download option which will allow you to download all uploads of any user on either YouTube or SoundCloud.
 
LuxPlaylist has also gotten a rebuff which will now allows users to search playlists on both YouTube and SoundCloud.
For both these options you can either enter a search or a URL. Luxinate will determine either to search for that query or use the URL directly.
 
Hopefully this update will fix many bugs as well as make Luxinate easier to use.
 
If you do encounter major problems I would recommend either reinstalling the workflow or downloading the previous version of Luxinate located at the bottom of the original post.
 
Please let me know of any bugs or problems that you encounter.

I've completely rewritten all of the code to try and get a smoother and less buggy workflow.

It works fine on both my machine and the others I have access to.

This doesn't mean that it's completely free of bugs though.

- Many bug fixes and full rewrite of source code

- Progress bar option

- Updated youtube-dl and ffmpeg

- Option to prompt install of SoundCloud API

 

(I recommend installing the SoundCloud API to your machine rather than using the way I had it before)

Are you saying that the download doesn't show up in the downloads folder, or are you not able to download the file at all?
 
All audio downloads first get downloaded to a temporary file located at "/tmp/luxinate_temporary.part" then this file is converted and saved to wherever you've specified downloads to be saved.
 
So to test if your downloads are working try having a Finder window open in "/tmp/" when you start a download. If a file luxinate_temporary.part shows up then your downloads are working and it might be either the conversion command or a specific download path you've saved. 
 
For me to figure out whats going on I would recommend entering
 
open /tmp/
 
into your Terminal and then running a download. Then post a reply telling me if you saw the luxinate_temporary.part file be created in the /tmp/ directory. This will help me get a grasp on what is messing up. Thanks!

I'm working on a fix to this problem right now. I'll hopefully get a update out this weekend. 
A lot of systems have been causing an issue with saves because of the /Volumes/ issue, but hopefully the new update will fix any issues.
 
The problem is with spaces and console use. The console likes to escape spaces before running a command. The problem is Alfred will also escape spaces if they appear in a specific context. This ends up escaping an escape character which breaks the CD and download links. I've been working to make Luxinate more simple code wise. Hopefully I can get it to work with Alfred's escapes.
