  1. @Vero Thanks for the prompt response.

I tested with TextEdit and it seems to working as expected. I am using Spark as well, and that is where I observed the issue. So it looks like it is consistent with Spark Email Editor (not working) and it is always working with Safari, TextEdit etc..

I have aText as well - and that seems to be correctly working with Spark Editor. I want to move away from it and use only Alfred snippets - hence I'm trying it here.

  2. I have a snippet

    image.png.a29858ffcebf57cd2f10a69bb8b2407a.png

The idea is, when I type "Im " then it expands into "I'm ". I have given a space in the snippet as well (that is not shown).

Sometimes I see the space in the snippet is expanded, sometimes it is not.. I type "Im " and I only get "I'm". I'm expecting to get "I'm " always.

The behavior is not consistent. I see it works sometimes with the space in the snippet, and sometimes it is not. Is it a bug?

    Thanks,

  3. Open

    /Users/_USER_/Library/Application Support/Alfred 2/Workflow Data/cc.hamid.gopinboard/settings.plist

    Replace

    <key>update_time</key><string>2015-10-03T22:44:35.503376591+02:00</string>

    by

    <key>update_time</key><string></string>

(reset last update time so to speak)

Then just update Pinboard's cache using Alfred. That should do the trick.

    Awesome! This worked. Thanks.

  4. To include this into Alfred would require some bodging, as this option is not readily available for third-party apps to control, and Alfred is proudly bodge-free :)

If you want to try out the workflow, you can set the workflow to use the same keyword, and uncheck the box for the default restart/shutdown keywords instead. You can always revert back to the default behaviour and remove the workflow if you don't enjoy using it.

    Cheers,

    Vero

    Thanks Vero. Will try that.

  5. Hello,

Awesome workflow. One feature that would help in better snappiness is - not to auto update every time after posting the bookmark. Two things that could be better are:

    1. When posting a bookmark, just update the posted bookmark into the cache - without going and fetching from pinboard

    2. Or update the cache only once per day

    Thanks

    Joe

  6. Hello Deanishe,

    Thanks for the feedback!

    1. über - showing empty XML entries => Was not handling the empty body. Now handled it.

    2. umlauts not working => yep! were not working. Since I'm learning German, I missed out the most basic testing.. Thanks for pointing it out. Fixed it.

    3. workflow contents in a separate folder => Done.

    4. workflow itself in release => Done.

    5. workflows.php => Yea, had earlier created an example workflow and missed to clean up. Done.

Have updated the github repo. Please check and let me know.

    Have a great day!

    Joe.

  7. Certainly. In that workflow, you can add a Trigger->Hotkey item to the front of the Keyword (or Script Filter) item (don't forget to connect them). In the Hotkey properties, set your hotkey of choice then for the "Argument", select "Text" and then in the text field, add whatever text you want passed there by default

    Awesome!.. Works flawlessly..

  8. Hello,

I’m using an alfred workflow: Google Translate

In that, the text to invoke that work flow is "gd". Then you have to type the from and to language for translation such as "gd de>en" or "gd en>de". Is there a way to have a shortcut key that will put "gd de>en" and then wait for my german input.

Note: I already raised the issue in github repo of that workflow and the author's response was that it had to be an alfred feature to handle this.

    Best Regards,
    Joe.
  9. Hello,

After I copy a URL, currently I open Alfred and then paste the URL, then the Return key opens the URL in my browser.

Instead, would it be possible to create a shortcut to do this action. ie. How to open url with hotkey, but take the contents from the clipboard.

    Best Regards,
    Joe.

  10. Ah, I understand about the global image.

What I meant was the smaller icons that I see in my custom workflow

    See the picture here:

    http://cl.ly/image/2v1J3P1x2U1Z

If you see, the main Amazon search is from the Default Web Search. The other ones are my custom web searches in which I had already added the images. They are not displayed here.

Anyway, as I had said, it is only a technicality.. Functionality works.. :)
