    I think the Alfred-evernote-workflow is based on the API. That may work with the new version of Evernote (I have not tested myself yet), so you could test that.

    Thanks a lot, it works for me now with version 0.8.2. That's great, it is very helpful with the preview feature for quickly finding the relevant note.

    Awesome, thanks! The workflow works well for me if the html cache is cleared. However, after having successfully saved the cache I get an error when searching for notes, as follows (error copied using your workflow function for this). I've tried clearing the cache and saving a new again, but the problem persists. I'm on macOS 10.14.6, using Evernote 7.14 (not App Store version).     @Acidham Yes, I confirm that it works to search now in version 2.4.1 (except tags with umlaut only showing partially, as explained above, no big deal). Searching without white space is convenient so I'd like to keep that, thanks for explaining.

    Thanks, using the newest version (2.4.1) it now works to search with Swedish umlauts. They are still not shown properly (still like “slutfo”), but that's not a major thing. I honestly don't remember how it worked before, I have not used tags so much and I may simply have missed such problems.

    I really like this workflow, with the simplicity to create and edit cheat sheets and the power of Alfred and fuzzy search it makes it extremely easy to find things even when you are not sure what search terms to use. Thanks for making it @Wayne Yao , and thanks @odapg for the great update, those improvements are very useful. Would it be possible for you to add an auto-update mechanism, e.g. OneUpdater?

    Yes, I wasn't referring to subfolder scanning, I was thinking of manually adding a list of folders that could be searched (e.g. as a workflow environment variable or in a text file). You said earlier that it would be a nice alternative and that you could look into it. Regarding the umlaut issue, the debugger does not report any problem. However, it is not working as expected. For example, I use the tag "slutför" and when all tags are shown it is shown only in partial as "slutfo", and when searching for it nothing is shown (whether I write it out fully or partially). Please see screenshots. I'm using version 2.4.0 of your workflow on macOS 10.14.6 and Alfred 4.0.9.

    Any progress on this? I really like the workflow but it is a major limitation that it can search only one folder. A less important thing, it seems that searching tags suffer from not supporting unicode, tags with umlauts are not shown or searched as expected. Could you provide the same fix as you did for titles?

    Ah, I now saw that there is already a version 20.6 available to download (not yet recognized by OneUpdater, should have checked manually before posting...) which seems to have fixed this, working well again, thanks!

    Update to version 20.5 seems to have broken this brilliant workflow on my system, it has worked flawlessly for a long time. I'm on macOS 10.14.6 (Mojave), Alfred 4.0.9, and using version 20.5 of this workflow. I paste info from the debugger below. [14:57:34.066] Logging Started...     I have Blueutil and Python3 (running 'python3 --version' in terminal outputs 'Python 3.7.6') installed using Homebrew, but it does not work and the debugger reports: [17:17:30.841] ERROR: Bluetooth Controller[Script Filter] Code 127: /bin/bash: python3: command not found I'm using version 1.2.2 of the workflow on Alfred 4.0.9 and macOS 10.14.6. Any tips how it may be fixed?

    This seems useful, but I get the error ERROR: VSCode Workspace Explorer[Script Filter] Code 127: env: python3: No such file or directory I realize that it is likely due to that Python 3 is not the deafult version in macOS (using version 10.14.6). I have Python 3 installed in some different environments using Anaconda, but I don't know how to get Python 3 as the default version used by macOS. Any tips how this can be fixed?

    Yes, that is a problem. Is it the sub-folders scanning that is taking time? I would be very happy if it was just possible to manually add some folders, like a static list of folders (e.g. defined in the path_to_notes variable separated by commas, or maybe picked up from a text file), so only these paths were searched but no subfolders. Maybe that would not affect performance noticeably?

    I have been using this workflow a lot, it's been solid and reliable for a long time, thanks! Since I have added relatively many templates now I sometimes forget which template is for what purpose, and it is not always self-evident from the name of the main folder. I wonder, would it be easy to add a feature letting the user add an optional description of each template (it may e.g. be shown in the result subtext when showing the template list)? That would make the workflow even more useful I think.

    Pasting citations is super handy and one of the things I use most. For some applications I have problems that HTML formatting code is included (like “<i>journal name</i>”) when I would like just plain text (“journal name”), e.g. when pasting a citation into a plain text file in Visual Studio Code. Maybe this is by design, but often only plain text is desired without formatting. Is there a way that plain text could be enforced by the user?

    I have now been using the workflow quite much for a few weeks, it is awesome, thanks again! I have two feature requests I hope could be possible to implement, where the first is most important: Add a possibility to add multiple folders to the search scope. As far as I understand this is not possible now. For my use case I have several folders with markdown files, which is a structure I built over some time and rebuilding it would break a lot of stuff. It would help a lot if subfolders of the selected folder could be searched, although obviously it would be much more powerful to be able to provide a list of folders that is searched. Make it possible to search for tags everywhere in a file. For my use case I typically add #tags anywhere in the note, so using YAML front matter is not so convenient.

    Awesome, thank you very much for the quick and most valuable update! Now it works to search for words with Swedish characters, and it improves the usability a lot.

    Thanks for the update! This is a quite powerful workflow, and may change my note taking habits. I have one issue, the workflow does not find notes with titles that use any of the Swedish characters å, ä and ö (if I search for a word that includes any of those characters, if I search for other words in the title the note will be found). I would guess other languages with special characters may also be affected. Could this be fixed?
