Sorry, it does seem to be a problem with Firefox - I've now experienced it with other apps too. On my system, at least, trying to launch Firefox with a URL doesn't work unless [a] it's the first run since login, or Firefox is already running. So not an Alfred problem! I had been typing a URL directly into Alfred - it's not depednent on any particular URL. I guess I will wait and see if Mozilla fix it.
