Awesome, thank you so much - works like a breeze (again)
I'm glad to hear it is working.
I'll make a few more tests then I'll release it.

Hey,
alfred-pinboard worked great for me. But since version 1.4. for alfred 3 i am not able to add bookmarks via "pa" or hotkey. Do you have any ideas? I also re-installed, shut down alfred, but nothing works for me. All other options work fine.
Thanks in Advance!
I'll make some tests later today.
You can keep using version 1.3 though.

Any updates on this for Alfred v3? This was one of the workflows I used most and it worked until I (stupidly) removed Alfred 2 from my mac :/
p.s.: the settings file - dropbox link does not work anymore.. so I am stuck!
Here is a new workflow version that I'm still testing. If you'd like to try it download it here.
Note that you have to configure the workflow in Alfred Preferences as seen below:
-
Thanks Carlos—I tried all sorts of ways to get the token in with 1.3 but maybe not the one you noted, but either way thank you for the tip and **thank you** for v1.4 - it's great!
PS: I had to quit and open Alfred (latest v3 ver) for `ps` and other Pinboard commands to work, obvious probably but in case of any help to anyone.
I'm glad to hear it worked!

@All
Here is a new version that uses Workflow Variables to handle settings. In order to enter your Pinboard API token go here:
-
Running Alfred 3.0.2 and downloaded latest workflow - get the following error when trying to set token - never get prompted for the token
Starting debug for 'Pinboard'
[2016-06-26 13:05:14][input.keyword] Processing output of 'action.script' with arg ''[2016-06-26 13:05:14][ERROR: action.script] 35:44: syntax error: A “"” can’t go after this identifier. (-2740)+1 for @bgrinter's question.
When I first ran the workflow prompted for my API token but then was unable to use it.
I went to try reentering it by deleting the workflow and adding it, by using ptoken, but both fail. Delete and reinstall results in the 1st run never re-prompting. ptoken does not allow me to enter my token.
Debug shows the same as above post.
Tks lots for any pointers anyone
The first time: before entering the API token you have to press Enter then a new Alfred window will be displayed for you to, finally, enter the API token.
I have just tested and it worked.

Using this with Capitan and Alfred (3.0.2), but not getting any results using "rec". I just get the option of "Recent items help" and "Recent items Preferences". Pressing enter on the last one doesn't do anything either, recpref just sends me to a google search for "recpref" ...
I'll update the workflow for Alfred 3 as soon as possible.
Thank you.

Hi Carlos-Sz,
That is perfect And the new "Snippets" feature in Alfred 3 just made it even easier.
To perform the search I need, I would have to type the complete string "evs resource:application/pdf", but I have created a Snippet in Alfred, "evpdf", and it expands the full string, so I only need to type the Snippet, followed by whatever I'm looking for, and voilà.
Fantastic! Thank you so much for your help
I’m glad to hear it worked!

Awesome workflow, thanks! Works very well for me overall, I've just noticed a minor quirk: tags don't seem to update every time "preload" is run, i.e. the bookmarks update as expected but if I have created a new tag on pinboard.in it seems to take a while before it's updated in the local cache of this workflow.
It seems it is a pinboard.in not updating right away.
Just a heads up Carlos, when you renamed the topic, you forgot the "P" in Pinboard
Thanks!

Regarding compatibility:
- Some workflows using AppleScript call Alfred 2 application to use its dictionary (I know Andrew know about it)
- In addition, some workflows have the Alfred 2 data folder path hard coded and they have to be changed to the Alfred 3 one
All my workflows have to be updated and, after that, they will only work with Alfred 3.
Just in time: there should be an option to export a workflow to an Universal Alfred version or only for Alfred 3. However, I´m not sure if there will be too much Alfred 2 users after all.

Thank you, mostly looking good but I can't get the 'Type Note' command to work
Cheers
It seems to be working here.
Can you please let me know what the command you are typing?

Hi, I really like this Workflow. Even if it is quite old, it still works with the current OS X (10.11.5), iTunes (12.4) and Alfred (2.8.4) for songs in my iTunes library.
But it does not add songs to the playlist if the song is a Apple Music streamed song.
I don't know how to correct this.
Can any body help please?
Thanks, Mike
Unfortunately I don’t use Apple Music.
I hope someone else can help us here.

Awesome workflow my man! I've only run in to one issue– when trying to zip a folder the workflow throws an error:
[ERROR: action.script] 0:149: execution error: Can’t make text items 1 thru -2 of "testfolder" into type text. (-1700)
JSYK: I'm running the workflow in Alfred V3; not sure if that might be the issue. Either way, it seems like it's probably a minor error to fix, but I'm hardly an Applescript expert so I'll leave that to you... Anyway, thanks again for the dope flow!
I’ll update the workflow as soon as possible.
Thank you for your feedback!

Here is the first beta of Evernote workflow version 9 with Alfred 3 support: Download
Please use it with caution and make some tests before changing important notes.

@All
The workflow needs an update to work properly with Alfred 3.
I’m doing it right now and after some tests I will release it here.

Hi Carlos
I was just looking at the source of this to try something but I don't have Script Debugger so I can't actually make any changes.
I am wondering if it would be possible to save a current list of recents (in my case to Dropbox) and then re-open it, reading from the list, rather running mdfind locally.
Basically what I want is a way to save all my recents on computer A then go to computer B and view computer A's recents.
Also it looks like the favorites.txt file is being stored locally in
~/Library/Application Support/Alfred 2/Workflow Data/com.sztoltz.recentitems/favorites.txt
It seems to me it would be preferable to have this stored with the workflow so that if one is syncing workflows, the favorites would also sync.
D
The workflow is following the Alfred app directions regarding saving its preferences and settings.
Right now, due the updates I need to make in all my workflows, there is no plan to add such option.
I would like to change the names of each of the entries in the workflow to lowercase however I don't think I can't seem to be able to edit 'list_recent.scpt' file. Can I change this text to lowercase?Right now, due the updates I need to make in all my workflows, there is no plan to add such option.
This is a great workflow...
Is it working on Alfred 3.0 yet?
thanks
I’ll update it in the future.

Hey Carlos,
I would really love to use your workflow; however, it currently doesn't seem to be working with Alfred v3.0.1[671]. The popup that the link is ready still comes up, but no image is uploaded to my imgur account, nor is a link copied to the clipboard. Thanks if you have time to take a look at it!
As far as I could check it seems imgur is not accepting this way of uploading an image.
