...and I feel like a dummy. I needed to turn the brightness up on the Colour Wheel menu. Oh well. Thanks for the quick response!

Right, I did that, but I still can't edit my duplicates. The colour selector for Background Colour, for example, will allow me to reconfigure the colours, and the changes will be reflected in the selector, but the changes don't take on the actual theme. Hey guys, It looks like you're not able to make changes to the colour schemes for the default OSX Yosemite themes.
