  1. I think I've got it working: I changed the keyword to 'er' and used that command a few times. After that, using just 'e' brought up 'Empty Trash' as the second choice (after Evernote). I changed the keyword back to 'e', and kept using the 'e' and selecting 'Empty Trash' until it moved to the first choice. All is good.
  2. Alfred 4 MacBook Pro Catalina 10.15.3 I'm setting up a new MacBook and I'm having trouble getting Empty trash to work. I have the Empty Trash system feature activated with 'e' as the keyword. When I try to use it, it opens Evernote instead. I don't have any Evernote workflows and (as far as I can tell, no other keyboard shortcuts set up for Evernote). In my system preferences, I have given Alfred access to Accessibility and Full Disk Access, but I can't figure out how to add apps to Automation - there's no '+' sign. Any suggestions on how to get this to work?
  3. Thanks GuiB, that's good to know. I had noticed the two different kinds of PDF, but I didn't realize the difference with respect to searching. Fortunately, for most of the ones I am interested in, I can select the text.
  4. I second this suggestion. This is exactly the way I do my notes. Great workflow!
  5. This is brilliant! I've been putting off getting out of Evernote because I have a ton of PDFs and Evernote can search their text. You may have just saved me the subscription price. Can I buy you a hypothetical cup of coffee?
  6. That's perfect, thank you! And thanks for the links. I'll check them out.
  7. I am trying to create a snippet that would produce the following: date=June 2016 where the date is automatically generated. How do I finish this? date={date:????} Thanks.
