  1. Thanks for this - I look forward to trying it out. At first glance it seems that I would need to add the search term for each item in the list. What I'm hoping to build is a workflow where I could search, say, "design" then anything with that in the name will show as an option and I can choose that one. Does List Filter Input allow for that?
  2. Hi All I need help looking for a workflow or creating one. (Or some advanced help with Snippets) I have a long list of accounting categories and codes that I cannot memorise. I would like to search and view the list quickly in alfred and for it to give suggestions. So say I can remember the vague category, I could type "Design" or "Software". Then I would like Alfred to show me the list of codes and categories that have that those terms. The list is really long, so it would be tedious to input the whole thing in to Snippets with the + icon method. If I could add an spreadsheet type list and then have Alfred search that, that would be great. I'd also like to be able to select and paste the snippet into the document.
  3. i've just noticed "Keep File Lists" in the Clibpboard History preferences. I can't find what those are or how they are used. Please blow my mind and supercharge my productivity with this seemingly simple piece of information.
  4. This is wonderful. I've been looking for something like this for years. My numbers don't add up. I get 0 every time. Is there a change I need to make in a setting?
  5. Hey I use snippets for a few things just as a memory or note, like addresses or people's names or account details/numbers. I thought it would be very useful if it was easier to add snippets or reminders into Alfred from that main Alfred search field. It could also be useful if Alfred could search longer text documents for info - imagining I have text files that contain information. Perhaps an app already exists?
  6. This isa brilliant workflow and I use it already - thanks. Sadly Google Drive doesn't play nice with alfred or spotlight.
  7. @Vero They go to different places, not always Downloads. The way I work, it would be very useful to find them and rename with as few clicks as possible. Thanks for those tips, I will try them out!
  8. Hi One feature or workflow I've struggled to set up is finding my files that I have recently downloaded or saved. I'd love to download a file, take screenshot, or save a file, then instantly find it in the folder it ended up in. I assumed looking for most recently added file would work but that doesn't seem to. Also, the way Google Drive is now set up it seems searching it with Alfred is complicated. Thanks
  9. Thanks for the great workflow. Is there a way to add to it where I can immediately find the most recent Date Added item? Use: When I save files from internet or make screenshots I want to immediately navigate to wherever they downloaded/saved to.
  10. Great tip - I didn't know I could do that. Doesn't quite work the way I hoped (I just see folders) but will be useful in future no doubt.
  11. I'd like a workflow or feature that allows me to hotkey or search for the most recent file added to Finder. Often I download things to a variety of locations and would then like to jump to that folder easily, either to rename or move the file. I notice on finder, brand new files don't always show at the top of the list of Date Added if the are very new. Is there a way to seearch for these files in Alfred?
  12. Hello Dear Alfreds I do technical translation and we have a long shared Google spreadsheet with a list of terms and names that have very specific translations. I would like to be able select a word or name (e.g. Institute of Cinema and Audio-Visual Arts) and search for that in the "Translation Glossary". I don't mind if Alfred opens the Sheet itself in a browser window. (Getting it to return results in Alfred would be an interesting challenge though) Many thanks J
  13. Sorry, I may have misled you. It's more like I'm trying to do it on Google Sheets (I guess I said Excel because old habits die hard). I'm just wondering if there was a way with alfred to look at the selected cells in Google sheets and wrap that into a formula. I guess it's hard for Alfred to know what cells are actually selected.
  14. Hi Any ideas on how to create a hotkey that creates a SUM formula using the selected cells? J
  15. Great stuff for Tabaholics. Can you think of a way to get this to work as part of the Default search or fallback search results? Just trying to get one less hotkey to remember.
