  1. i like the Web Search History, but usually they clutter my Workflows. i would like to keep calling my Workflows with a single letter, like `w` to get a list of visible windows, `m` to get menus of frontmost app, etc. but i end up having some URLs in there too. would there be a way to prefix the Web Search History with something in order to show them? like how it works for the Bookmarks. thanks.
  2. I remade my chrome-workflow built with awgo. Previous workflow (alfred-chrome-workflow)'s features are reimplemented by go language, some useful features added including tab searching, browser switching, profile switching. https://github.com/jopemachine/alfred-chromium-workflow I appreciate to awgo's author @deanishe I'd never have made it without this awesome library. Any idea or feedback would be appreciated

  4. Alfred History Search An Alfred workflow to search through query history, and execute queries from history. Note: This post might be out-of-date. Here's the up-to-date README. Usage Download the latest release Searching Through Query History Assign hotkey trigger (⌃R recommended)While using Alfred, press the hotkey. Alfred's query history will show up: Start typing to search through the query history. Actioning any of the history entries makes Alfred search that query. 5. Like Safari Assistant, but for Firefox. Download from GitHub. Search Firefox bookmarks Search Firefox browsing history Run bookmarklets Activate & close tabs Add you own custom scripts The workflow requires you to install a corresponding Firefox extension in order to communicate with Firefox. After installing the workflow, run ffass > Install Firefox Extension to get the extension. Once the extension is installed, everything should just work. The workflow is fairly customisable. You can add your own URL actions via scripts, set custom icons, and assign URL & tab actions and bookmarklets to alternate hotkeys. See the documentation for details.
  6. I'm trying to install this chrome history workflow (https://github.com/tupton/alfred-chrome-history), but I'm not versed in terminal or coding at all. Can anyone further dumb-down the FROM SOURCE section of this repo for me to understand? Much appreciated.
  7. Hi All Apologies if this has already been dealt with (I have searched and not found any conclusive answer on the forum). Is there a way to have curly bracket placeholders other than {query} - specifically {clipboard:0}, {clipboard:1}, {clipboard:2}, ... - evaluated within a php script? It appears that {clipboard:7} does not get evaluated upon initialisation like {query} does, but rather remains a placeholder right up to the moment where it is passed to some Alfred output such as Large Type, and only then is the clipboard value retrieved from the DB. Code example: $query = "{query}"; // $query has been assigned the value passed to the script $i = 7; $history_item = "{clipboard:$i}"; // $history_item has not been assigned any value from the clipboad stack - it holds the literal string value '{clipboard:7}' That means I can't access, search, and manipulate the clipboard history items within my code. Will I need to query clipboard.alfdb manually, or is there a simpler solution? All help appreciated
  8. I have my clipboard history shortcut set to Cmd+Alt+V - this makes more sense to me than Cmd+Alt+C, because it is another way to paste, not copy (hence option added to Cmd+V paste shortcut). The only downside is that this clashes with Cmd+Alt+V used to move items in Finder. But I never use Clipboard History in Finder, is there a way to selectively disable it? (perhaps this is a feature suggestion) Any other workaround?
  9. This is pretty straightforward feature request. Since Alfred 3.5 there is an ability to search through your browser bookmarks. It's super nice, except it is only bookmarks. Wouldn't it be awesome to search through entire browser history in addition to bookmarks? This is how pretty much all modern browsers search bars are working, and there is a reason for that, it's really useful and convenient, considerably speeding up the time you need to enter URL. Right now, I often find myself going back to enter URLs/search in Safari, shy away of using Alfred for this type of functionality, since there are more relevant suggestions when I'm using Safari.
  10. Hi, I want to remove certain entries from my command history. I am okay if I have to remove all command history if I have to. I can't see any way to do this in the app. I am using Alfred 3.3.2 Build 818. Is there a way around this? Thanks
  11. Is it possible to remove several clipboard history items at once? I would for example like to be able to occasionally, on demand, be able to remove all clipboard history text items < 3 characters long. I know I can fn-delete individual items in the list, but I'd like to be able to perhaps activate a workflow to prune the clipboard history list en masse. Any ideas? Possible?
  12. Clear Safari: this simple workflow launch an AppleScript to clear Safari history/cache/cookies/etc. DOWNLOAD Safari Incognito: this one enable private browsing in Safari by opening a new private window DOWNLOAD
  13. Is there a way to selectively remove items from the clipboard history? Normally, I want to have items attached to the clipboard to remain. But, if I've copied and pasted a password, that's something that I would only want to remain for a limited amount of time (like maybe a day or less).
  14. # SafariHistorySearch Alfred workflow to search Safari history written in swift. #Usage `shs <SEARCH_TERMS>` Separate search terms with spaces if you want to search for more than one word. ie: `shs github safari` Each word is searched separately. If you want to search for a phrase, surround the phrase with double quotes, ie: `shs "Alfred Workflow to Search Safari History"` The results contain all search terms. This workflow searches the page url, page title and page body if available. see https://github.com/akaralar/SafariHistorySearch/releases for latest version. I hope you like it!
  15. I use the query history feature a lot and, in my up-arrow frenzy, I often overshoot the entry I want. To get back to it, I clear out the alfred prompt and start from the beginning, going more slowly this time. It'd be nice if there was a way to go forwards through the history, so that I could correct my overshoot more easily. My thought was that the down arrow would be a natural way to do this. I realize that the down arrow is currently used as a way to disengage query history mode, but the left and right arrow keys also do this, and it's rare that I want to disengage at all.
  16. Hi there, I love the Clipboard History feature pretty much, but what's missing for me is an option to clear the history on restart of the computer. Maybe this option could be implemented in one of the upcomuing releases? Or at least we could have a 'presist for' option less than 24 hours? Cheers, Michael
  17. I may be a-typical but I have basically stopped using my browsers' bookmarks functions altogether and reply on Alfred to remember anything I have used in the past year via "URLs / History". I much prefer this to managing bookmarks. It auto adds any URL I type into Alfred and will auto-delete any crud I no longer need. For stuff that goes missing, I have Google ;-) But here's the problem - sometimes I add something that I don't want in the history and it keeps cropping up in the search results. So, I would like to go in an manually delete it and there's the issue. The "URLs / History" field has neither a sort nor a search function, so finding the URLs in there that I want to delete can be a bit of a chore, to say the least. Hence, my feature suggestion - a sort by domain header at the top and a search field like in the adjacent "Search" tab. Thanks!
  18. It would be nice to allow search between the last recent entered commands, like 'Ctrl+R' in a shell, for example. Now you can navigate with the up arrow but you have to go though all the history until you find it, and also you cannot go forward if you miss the one you were looking for, you have to start over. Or maybe I'm doing it wrong and there is another way already, who knows Thank you.
  19. Requesting Workflow: Clear All Google Chrome Browsing History/Cookies/etc (porn wipe) I know there's gotta be some other guys out there who could use this.. They could call it the "Happy Girlfriend" workflow hahaha.. no, but seriously..
  20. I want to delete my url history.. Alfred * Features - Web Search - URLs/History - click clear It's not work. and I found ' library- application support- alfred2 - databases - url history.alfdb' and I deleted urlhistory.alfdb. but It's not work. so.. I want to know how can I delete my url history.
  21. I have a lot of visited URL's which seemed to be stored in Alfred (either because I entered them or because their bookmarks). Is there any way to remove URL's from Alfred (I would prefer to remove them individually if possible). Example screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/o888z2q6qbdq7el/Screenshot%202014-05-13%2020.25.10.jpg
  22. hyper-paranoid question here- are all url/file search queries stored, even if you disable 'query history' / 'URL history' / clipboard? what if you enable these features, will the query cache be cleared once you clear those feature histories? i would like to use Alfred for all web searches instead of a browser, but if i am piping searches i would normally enter directly on HTTPS search sites, are these queries instead being recorded in plain text somewhere before they reach the HTTPS site? could queries theoretically be sent by way of scripts in imported workflows, if the developer designed it that way? and, more generally, is Alfred interacting with the network at any point, or all queries local? for someone who is privacy-minded, does using Alfred sacrifice security for convenience in any obvious ways? Thanks very much
  23. Chrome History - Version 1.0 Open Recent Google Chrome Webpages Introduction: This Workflow will use PHP to make a cached copy of Google Chromes SQLite History file. Then you can easily search through your history by keyword. Example Usage: ch will return all your browsers history with the latest at the top. ch alfred will return all pages in your history that have the word alfred in the URL or Page Title. 24. I noticed recently that Clipboard History continues, despite deselecting the feature checkbox. This did not used to be the case. This behaviour has not been corrected in the latest (Powerpack) version, v2.1 (218). I'm running Mountain Lion, 10.8.5. Thanks
  25. Hi! I'm running the latest Parallels (9.0.23062) and Alfred Versions (2.0.9) on 10.8 with Parallels Win-Mac clipboard sync enabled. I'm using alfred since the early beta days and I'm really happy with it, except when it comes to the clipboard history and Parallels. I'm forced to use Notepad++ and Word 2010 a lot, so the following bug is really annoying and makes alfreds clipboard history almost unusable for my day to day work. Alfred doesn't correctly remember Parallels clipboard items, when I copy multiple items (e.g. strings) in Windows. When viewing the clipboard history, only the last item copied in Windows is available. If I copy multiple things, I have to open the clipboard history after every copied item so alfred remembers all items. In addition, Alfred always displays wrong icons beside parallels clipboard items. Alfred displays either the Alfred hat logo or the icon of a random Mac application (wrong icons don't bother me, but maybe it helps tracking down the issue as it seems to me that the problem is related to Alfred not being able to tell from which application clipboard items added by Parallels come from) This bug is present regardless of the guest Windows version, I've tried XP and 8, and regardless of the Windows application used. It also didn't work with older Alfred/Parallels versions. Please fix this!
