  1. Using Spotlight i can search for .rpd files, but Alfred can't seem to find them. I have added rpd under advanced in the Default Results tab in Alfred without luck. Do any of you know what is wrong?
  2. I have recently joined this community and I was trying to find a todoist app workflow to search inside the app content, I am really satisfied with its app shortcut to add tasks and I don't want to replace it with alfred (my projects have emojis and it would be tedious as I can't use snippets on Alfred's search). There are Some workflows which can be used to create and check tasks but I consider it miscellaneous But as I want alfred a global searcher I want a workflow which just searches inside the app, I don't think the API token would be necessary is there a tutorial for easily creating one?, I have tried changing other app workflow (obsidian) to search but it doesn't work Some help??
  3. Alfred 4.1 Mac OS 10.15.5 FUSE 3.10.4. Cryptomator 1.5.6 MacBook Pro (Early 2015) --- Hi there! Spotlight doesn't index FUSE drives by default and I wonder if Alfred can do this? I'd like to search a virtual drive (created by Cryptomator and FUSE) and I added its path to Alfreds scope. Unfortunately this didn't work so far. Without the ability to search files the drive becomes almost worthless… I'm looking to Alfred because I don't want to deal with the mount-time options of FUSE. Is this supported by Powerpack? Thanks in advance!

  6. One of my favourite features of Alfred is the ability to do system wide fuzzy search for common file types and applications I use. I've customized Alfred to index file types such as .js, .py, .docx, .xlsx to name a few that I commonly use. I've noticed about 2-3 weeks ago that this fuzzy search feature stopped working. Excel files that I search for that would normally appear stopped appearing. Folders that I normally access will not show up unless I provide the absolute path to the directory. Typing things like "Apple TV" no longer shows the TV app, requiring me to type in exactly "TV" for it to show up. In terms of settings wise, nothing has changed on my end. Is there something I'm missing? What do I need to do to re-enable the previous functionality?
  7. I'm running the latest public Alfred release 4.0.9 [1144] after upgrading from Alfred 3. I reloaded the cache already and have 'macOS Applications' checkbox enabled in the Default Results. However, I still have duplicate results for some applications appearing in the search results. For example, Adobe Lightroom Classic appears both in /Applications and /System/Volumes/Data/Applications, but Arq appears only in /Applications. How do I fix this?
  8. I have a external-drive which is mounted and in Alfred V1 i was able somehow to have a shortcut to search in the context of a folder within the mounted disk... However, in V2 i have no clue how to do it.. P.S. I have the power pack..
  9. Hello, I'm trying to add Evernote to my search result. I found this: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/evernote/ which mentions two locations to add to my search path. Neither one exists on my mac. rcook@Richs-iMac (~ ): ls ~/Library/Containers/com.evernote.Evernote/ ls: /Users/rcook/Library/Containers/com.evernote.Evernote/: No such file or directory rcook@Richs-iMac (~ ): ls ~/Library/CoreData/com.evernote.Evernote ls: /Users/rcook/Library/CoreData/com.evernote.Evernote: No such file or directory Is there an updated set of instructions available? Thanks in advance for the help! (btw black lives matter)
  10. It's relatively minor, but I notice it given how often I use the built-in Twitter Web Search... but the icon is using the wrong color Tweetie bird!
  11. Word Search is an Alfred 2/3 workflow which exposes powerful word searching utilities. Ultimately, the workflow can be leveraged to widen your vocabulary and make you a better writer. Quick Reference syn [word] - Broadly searches for words related to a word/phrase. dsyn [word] - Searches for a word’s exact synonyms. ant [word] - Searches for a word’s antonyms. rhyme [word] - Searches a word’s rhymes. describing [word] - Searches for words that describe another word Usage Simply type in a command. Selecting a result will copy that word to your clipboard and automatically paste it in the front most app. Installation Simply download the latest .alfredworkflow file and double click it to import it to Alfred. Word Search will update on its own. Demonstration Searching for words that describe “dog” This forum doesn't like many images. If you want to see more screenshots, checkout the github page.
  12. any chance to get the fuzzy search working in Alfred for the integrated 1Password feature? i try to do everything through Alfred, but the 1Password search is quite painful currently. i could spin up a workflow but probably it'd be better in the integrated version?
  13. I think there're two aspects where Alfred can improve: 1. Allow user to search for content in the files in a specific folder (i.e. before using 'in' function, user can assign a specific folder as the search scope) 2. Allow user to specify the file type for search. For example, search pdf only in a specific folder. I understand that these functions can be implemented by making workflows, but it's hard for non technical person like me to create one. I wish that these would be built-in function or in the sample workflows.
  14. Perform a Google Image search based on files on your computer. The images are uploaded to Google, and the list of search results is shown in your browser. Download Get the workflow from GitHub or Packal. Usage Google search supports PNG, JPG, GIF and BMP images only. This workflow is available as a File Action for any of these filetypes in Alfred. There is also a Hotkey to search based on the current Finder selection. If more than one image file is selected, only the first will be used. Licence This workflow is released under the MIT License.
  15. I have 2 identical folders, one backup of the other. When I perform a search for files, it returns only files from the second (backup) folder. Is there a way to prioritize search firstly in the original folder and secondly in the backup folder? Thank you!

  17. Hi there, at work we have a folders structure that goes something light that: - PROJECT NAME - PROJECT NAME CITY NAME1 - PROJECT NAME CITY NAME2 - PROJECT NAME CITY NAME3 - PROJECT NAME CITY NAME4 - Etc. And file names work the same way. That means we have many folders and files starting with the same name. When I use Alfred to search for a folder or file and it doesn't appear in the results and it doesn't appear in the 40 results displayed, how do I push Alfred to find it and make it appear in future searches? Thank you for your help, I love how I keep discovering new use for Alfred, time after time. Rad
  18. Hi, Alfred sets a limit of 40 items returned in the search results. Is there a way i can increase this number OR preferably, "page down" to the next set of results? Thank you very much! Steve

  22. Hi, I'm very frustrated by Alfred not finding the files I'm search for. HoudahSpot & Tembo are amazing, and even the built-in Spotlight does much better. I have rebuilt MacOs Metadata, etc., but Alfred isn't competing. If it cannot be improved, is it possible to use HoudahSpot or Tembo with an Alfred workflow? Thanks Yossi
  23. I'm trying to create a workflow that searches only for Premiere CC project files on my machine (or mounted network drives,) but filtering out any Premiere CC project files that are contained within any folders with the word "Auto-Save" in the title. Is something like that possible? I can create a search like that in Finder, I'm just not sure how to do it in an Alfred workflow. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
  24. Hi ! I've looked through the forum and there's a lot about displaying contacts, but unfortunately I'm not sure it answers my question: I would like to search only in contacts but in any field of contact cards. I specify in all my contacts their skills (I work with a lot of Freelancers). Currently I use Alfred2 with contact and it works if I type 3 letters of a first or last name, but not if I type 'Motion' to find a motion designer whose name I can't recall. Can you help me, please
  25. Alfred 2 making that IMDB web search a little boring? How about a shiny new workflow for IMDB search suggestions? It leverages IMDB's own suggest protocol to deliver snappy results right into Alfred. (Really, it's fast. They're using static JSON files on a CDN.) Selecting a result will take you directly to the page for the film or name you're looking for, or if there are no suggestions, you can jump to a plain IMDB search page instead. Download GitHub Repo
