  1. I created a workflow that displays search suggestions for soundcloud.com in alfred. Screenshots + Download: https://github.com/blaww/SoundCloud-Suggestions-Alfred-Workflow You have to have python and the soundcloud api installed! 2. I've completely rebuilt redwall_hp's original IMDB Search Suggest workflow to include more information in results, a fallback for longer search queries using a cache, and a new icon. I've also changed the keyword to i but you can easily change that to imdb or whatever you like. I hope you'll enjoy! Download .alfredworkflow GitHub
  3. It would be much easier if I could type letters in the name of a file/program and get those results from a fuzzy search. For example, I think of "Devonthink Pro" as "DVT," not as "Dev." If I type "dv," I get nothing for results. Thanks!
  4. Hello, forum I have two drives in my MacBook Pro, an SSD for boot and an HDD with an HFS+ partition for storage and an NTFS partition for bootcamp. After installing Alfred, I noticed that the partitions on my HDD were not indexed. I followed Apple's reindexing procedure (adding the volumes to the non-index list and removing) and it went through just fine. Now, spotlight shows files from those two partitions without any issues. Alfred, however, refuses to search in those volumes. What should I do? Regards Raptor
  5. Ability to search Mavericks tags would be appreciated at least by me. Although I don't see spotlight showing results using it yet so this might be a tall order.
  6. Hi All-- I am a big fan of the ability for Chrome and Firefox (with InstantFox) to store search queries for multiple websites-- the same way that Alfred can. I have already built up a large library of stored searches in InstantFox that can be exported as text (see excerpt below) but I was wondering if there is a graceful way to convert all these to an Alfred Workflow in one fell swoop? What do you think? Ted --metadata-- version:--instantfox--plugin--data-- { "selectedLocale": "en-US", "defaultPlugin": "google", "autoSearch": { "json": "http://clients1.google.com/comple
  7. Hello, I spend my days building and administrating Wordpress websites for companies. Today i am administrating over 100 sites, and it is getting more every day. My request for a workflow is quicker access to different admin-areas in wordpress of the sites. Lets say i have these three sites: www.coolpage1.com www.coolpage2.com www.coolpage3.com All of the sites admin-area can be accessed by adding "/wp-admin" at the end of the url. Today i use the custom search that is built into Alfred with the {query}. For example i write the keyword "admin" followed by "coolpage2". This works fine for
  8. WHAT A very simple search workflow on caniuse.com for those who don't want to spend 6 seconds on opening your default browser and type "can i use" in the search field, or spend 3 minutes on making your own custom workflow. So here you are. I know I'm going to use it often. HOW "use {keyword}" WHERE Grab the workflow here http://cl.ly/Pbr9
  9. I have created a Workflow for searching the official RealBasic Documentation Wiki. This Workflow is a simple modification of the Wikipedia workflow (alternate) by Benzi. To use it, just type rbw, followed by the search query. Then select the fitting result and hit enter to open the Website in your standard Browser. For example rbw f (see Screenshot below). You can download it here: Download I've also implemented the AlleyOOP-Update Files. Thanks to phyllisstein
  10. Made a simple workflow for searching and sharing on Google+. It works with the default user that's signed in to your browser; activated using the "g+" keyword. Get it here: http://http://j.mp/gplus-alfred
  11. Hi...I have another possibly stupid question. Which is a result of my installing this new version of Alfred on a new mac. Anyway, when I bring up Alfred and search for a folder that is in my Documents folder, Alfred isn't finding it. Do I need to rebuild my spotlight results or something? Or configure Alfred to find it? I looked at the Search settings and don't see anything that would be excluding the folders.
  12. Hi all, I just have updated to Mountain Lion 10.8.4 (from SL 10.6.8) and I have some problems showing contacts. I have done this previous checks: I have checked my contacts on Agenda, and I have a lot... I can search on Spotlight very well and I can find them I have enabled my Powerpack on Alfred 2 and I have enabled this "Contact" options When I search on Alfred I can not find any contact... I have also rebuild index I have screenshots but I think it is not needed I also have noticed some slowness when I am install new apps, for example Spotlight shows them faster than Alfred. C
  13. Here's a video download of the behavior. It started around 10:00pm on August 1, 2013. I have not restarted Alfred since the behavior started. If you want any further information or system reports, please let me know quickly so I can restart Alfred and maybe get him working again! Alfred does not respond to: Delete (unless you press Cmd-A first, or if the text is selected already by ); in the video, I pressed delete every time a newline was typed. Return (simply types a newline) Arrow keys; they do not move the cursor or highlight results Clicking outside Alfred to hide his window; you
  14. Hey, with this workflow you can easily search for photos at 500px. Just type in '500px {Searchword}' and your browser will open the 500px site with the search results. https://www.dropbox.com/s/trzkqkgcokrkjgd/500px%20Search.alfredworkflow Hope it is for you as usefull as it is for me.
  15. I don't know if this is possible so i am posting it here. Let's say I have three mounted disks and I only want to unmount two of them. ASOT I have to repeat the process "Eject disk X" two times. What I do like to do is type the keyword of the workflow that unmount disks, select all the disk I want to unmount and click enter. Another use case, when using the buffer, I have to type the name of the file I want to add, hit alt+up for any file I want to add. I would like to have to type the name of the file I want to add, select all the files and I hit and special shortcut to ad

  17. Grab it here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2705462/stackoverflow.alfredworkflow This is a fork of xhinking's awesome StackOverflow workflow (http://www.alfredforum.com/topic/1524-stackoverflow-workflow/) that shows how long ago the question was asked in human-readable format, i.e. "2 years, 3 months ago".
  18. While I have used Alfred for several months, and I really would like to like it, and buy the PowerPack, I just cannot get over the fact that it does not find things. Spotlight finds them easily. I thought Alfred should find anything Spotlight can. For Extras, I now have Folders, Archives, Text Files, and Documents. I have "Include folders in Home" checked. The common example is searching on "Amex". Spotlight returns the two folders I have that start with "Amex". Alfred does not return them at all. Just a whole bunch of documents starting with "Amex". I'd love to resolve this an
  19. Hi... after switching from Alfred v1 to v2 I have issues with finding files while these files are found using Spotlight. I studied and tested all points at the specific help site for search issues (http://support.alfredapp.com/kb:indexing) and tested also to manually rebuild the index with sudo rm -R /.Spotlight-V100 sudo mdutil -i on / sudo mdutil -E / No success. I cannot find any of my files using the whitespace, the "find" or the "open" command. Setting in the preferences are the default settings with "Include folders in home folder" checked. Any idea what can be wrong? Best, Mar
  20. Sorry in advance if this behavior is actually by design or if I missed an existing post on the subject. Most of my scripts are placed in ~/Library/Scripts since this appears to be the spot most apps like to default to. When switching to Alfred from LaunchBar (from Quicksilver), I none of my scripts showed up. Then I noticed the "Excluding ~/Library" note under the "Include folders in Home" checkbox in the preferences. Okay, I thought, I'll just add ~/Library explicitly to the Search Scope list. No dice. I then tried adding ~/Library/Scripts to the search list. Still no luck getting Alf
  21. I'm using OS X 10.6.8 with Alfred 2.0.4 When I'm in web search and click on the button 'add custom search' nothing happens. I get no drop down boxes, nowhere to place the URL, nothing. I have tried a number of times, the same happens every time. Appreciate your help
  22. Hello, fellow workers of flow! I've just thrown together a new workflow that searches and sets OpenMeta tags and opens files that have already been tagged. You can download it here! Just install it, then enter "tags" to display—after about a second—a list of all the tags currently set on your system. Select a tag and press Return to add it to the Finder selection's current tags, or keep typing. In which case the workflow will search through the tags on your system for tags containing and related to your query. (Note that "related to" really means "related to": if a document is tagged "alice" a
  23. For those who use site:domain.com keyword a lot on Google, allow me to present you the Site Search Workflow for Alfred 2. How to Use If you have Alfred 2 installed and the Powerpack enabled, download and install this workflow. Then use the keyword "site" and follow the pattern below to search a website on Google: site domain.com keyword For example, if you want to search lucifr.com for alfred, just type “site lucifr.com alfred” and the results will be showed in a drill-down list in Alfred. More, open a result with shift key pressed, the URL of your choice will be copied to clipboard.
