  1. I tried to create a Hotkey -> Open url workflow with this url "chrome://bookmarks/". Are these kind of urls not supported? Thanks.
  2. Hello, I spend my days building and administrating Wordpress websites for companies. Today i am administrating over 100 sites, and it is getting more every day. My request for a workflow is quicker access to different admin-areas in wordpress of the sites. Lets say i have these three sites: www.coolpage1.com www.coolpage2.com www.coolpage3.com All of the sites admin-area can be accessed by adding "/wp-admin" at the end of the url. Today i use the custom search that is built into Alfred with the {query}. For example i write the keyword "admin" followed by "coolpage2". This works fine for opening www.coolpage2.com/wp-admin. The problem with this method for me though is: 1. Its is a slow process to add all the 100 sites in the custom search 2. I need to complete the looong query "coolpage2" (i would like it to autocomplete). 3. I would like to easily add shortcuts to other areas of the Wordpress Dashboard, not just /wp-admin. I would want to easily bring up "new post", "widgets", "menus" and more (which always has the same url-endings on every page), but custom search forces me to repeat the process thousands of times. So could i make a script that could do the following: 1. Enter a keyword ("wg" for widgets, "wm" for menus, "wn" for new post and so forth) 2. Start typing a query that autocompletes based on an overview of sites ("coolpage1", "coolpage2", "coolpage3") and open the correct URL based on keyword and query 3. Add a new sites quickly and easily to the "autocomplete-database" by typing keyword "addpage" followed by "coolpage4" I have no idea how to do this, but it would speed up my workday alot! Anyone able to help me with this? Anders
  3. Hi! I'm trying to create new "Custom Search" using this url "http://sprint.ly/product/14180/#!/dashboard/#statuses=backlog,current,complete,accepted&members=6119&order=priority" As you can see url contains two "#" symbols one after another, and it fails Alfred url validator. It should ignore all symbols after first "#". Alfred version: v2.0.7 (205) Mac OS: 10.8.4
  4. I'm using OS X 10.6.8 with Alfred 2.0.4 When I'm in web search and click on the button 'add custom search' nothing happens. I get no drop down boxes, nowhere to place the URL, nothing. I have tried a number of times, the same happens every time. Appreciate your help

  6. Get Google Cache of a URL with this workflow! Easy to use: In Alfred, enter the following and press Enter: cache URL Download Alfred Cache here.
  7. Shorten GitHub URLs with Git.io. Simply use the keyword gitio with the GitHub URL as the argument. The shortened URL is automatically copied to the clipboard. Important: Git.io is NOT a general purpose URL shortener. It will only shorten github.com URLs. This is mostly useful to software developers Download from here: randomerrata.com/post/50157813021/git-io

  10. When I ask Alfred to open a URL (for example, from a standard search which returned bookmarks, a workflow which returned a URL, or a manually typed URL), he sometimes opens the URL in a new window rather than a new tab. I seem to remember the same thing happening with V1, so it's a long-standing issue. I've tried to find ways to reproduce the problem reliably, but I've come up short. All I can say is that it happens frequently (a few times a day) and that I haven't been able to discern a pattern. If the problem occurs (i.e.: I tell Alfred to open a URL and he opens it in a new window rather than a new tab) then it will keep happening with subsequent URLs until I open a new tab manually. That said, Alfred does seem to fix himself after a varying period of time. Sorry to be vague on details, I wouldn't have posted it until I had something more concrete but it's been such a long time, and it's been really annoying me. I did a quick google search and found a reference to a Get Satisfaction page which seemed to be relevant, but annoyingly I can't get it to load (asterisk added to prevent the link from being shrunk). h*ttp://getsatisfaction.com/alfredapp/topics/alfred_not_putting_web_search_in_a_new_tab_in_safari_but_does_in_chrome/edit+alfred+opening+url+in+new+window&cd=2&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=nz Details OS X 10.8.3 Safari 6.0.3 Alfred 2.0.2 (178)
  11. I'm trying to generate a URL based on a query that I give to Alfred. I set up the XML the following way. It looks like the "arg" attribute doesn't like the ampersands in the URL. If I remove the ampersands it seems to work correctly and passes it to the next step in the workflow. <?xml version="1.0"?> <items> <item uid="sview" arg="http://maps.google.com/maps?q=&layer=c&cbll=37.33741330000001,-122.04509040&cbp=12,0,0,0,0"> <title>http://maps.google.com/maps?q=&layer=c&cbll=37.33741330000001,-122.04509040&cbp=12,0,0,0,0</title> </item> </items> Is there a way I can work around this? I'm trying to generate a Google street view URL based on a street address that I enter. I have a perl script that queries the Google Maps server to get the latitude and longitude for and address and generate the URL. I want to pass this URL to Google Chrome.

  13. Need some help getting started with this workflow. Essentially what I need is this: [1] I'll be looking at a website in Chrome, and I would like to see how it will look on an Ipad or Iphone, via IOS Simulator.app (it comes with xcode). [2] I have lots of local index.html files I'm working on. I would like to open the selected file in IOS Simulator to se how it will look on an Ipad. Can anyone, give me an outline of how to achieve these workflows, please?
  14. Here's a workflow to shorten a pasted URL using goo.gl. Inspired by the Google search that allows alternation between Safari and Chrome, I also added the option to preview an already shortened URL using Notification Center if alt is pressed. http://cl.ly/0y3b3g1y2f07 This mostly builds on existing workflows, but thought I'd post since I don't believe the Goo.gl script has yet been ported from version 1. Enjoy.
