  1. I was tired of not being able to skip with a keyboard shortcut if Spotify wasn't focused, so I created an Alfred workflow to let you do exactly that. I recommend using the keyboard shortcut ^ + ⌘ + →/← for skipping forward and backward as it is already set in Spotify and is most likely not a shortcut used by other apps. If you enjoy this workflow or rely on it to enhance your Spotify experience, please consider donating. I'm a college student creating and working on open source projects such as this one for free to enhance your experience on your Mac, and I hope you enjo

  3. Hi, I often search for audio-files and the Dynamic File Search works great — but only if I know the name of what im looking for. I would love for it to be possible to delineate/specify the duration (min/max/approx?) of the audiofile. Is that possible?
  4. Hey I'm trying to make an AppleScript to be run from Alfred, that should quickly set a specified speaker as audio output device if it is currently connected (in example below "My Awesome Speaker"), and otherwise don't do anything. I have gotten most of the functionality down (toggling between speaker/internal speaker), but I'm having a problem in the instance that the speaker isn't connected. When this is the case, the script has already clicked on the audioMenu, making the dropdown be there until a mouse click. I thought I could make it go away by branching with an "if

  8. Since getting the AirPods, I wanted to be able to switch between them and the default audio device(s) with Alfred. And I wanted to change both the input and output devices to the AirPods and back. e.g. avoiding the state of input = Built-in Microphone, while output = AirPods. Usage is pretty simple with the default being to enable the AirPods: airpods or airpods on or airpods blah and to disable the AirPods or revert back: airpods off More detailed setup and configuration as well as dependencies and code are here: https://
  9. Hi all, First post, longtime amateur Alfred user. I want to create two specific related workflows with a rudimentary knowledge of code. Can anyone point me in the right direction? ~~~~~ Here is workflow #1: Search YouTube for {query} -> copy first URL in YouTube search results (or select from Alfred list of results) -> paste into iSkysoft and begin download of MP3 via iSkysoft Here is workflow #2: Take selected or searched MP3 on HD and transpose it up or down the desired amount of semitones in Audacity via {query} ~~~~~ Do these make sense? Are they even

  13. The mute keyword will toggle the mute setting for your Mac's audio. In other words, if the sound is not muted, invoking the keyword will mute it, and if the sound is muted, the keyword will unmute it. An optional argument is allowed for the mute keyword, that represents the number of seconds to mute for; the sound will automatically unmute after the elapsed time. This can be useful for muting ads on streaming radio, for example. There is also an explicit unmute keyword provided, in case it is easier for some to process that way (vs a toggle). See the github page for source and more
  14. Download https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4265900/Alfred/Mute.alfredworkflow This workflow mutes the system volume with the Keyword mute, meaning that all sound coming from the computer is stopped. Typing mute again will re-enable sound. It's pretty simple, but effective: Remember to disable the iTunes mute Keyword, if previously enabled: Preferences > Features > iTunes > Keywords > Mute iTunes If you want a finer degree of control, you could also rig it to work in conjunction with the iTunes mute Keyword if this workflow's Keyword is changed to som
